I really want to try this babyfish, and looked for it but Trader Joe's didn't carry it. But I like how they don't use sodium lauryl sulfates and their vegan. I did buy their organic lavender glycerin hand soap in a cute pump bottle. It smells sooo good Wink I want to try their bodywash next!

"Never tested on animals or ask anyone else to do so", that's what's said on the bottle.

Well, that made me wonder if they must use an animal to test their shampoo, what could it be? A goat ?

They use all types of animals in testing... rats, rabbits, dogs, primates... In the cosmetic industry, they may shave an animals skin and directly put a chemical on it to do a patch test how the animal wll react, or the infamous Draize test where they usually put products, such as shampoos or chemicals in albino rabbits eyes to see if they irritate. They use albino rabbits often because their eyes are very sensitive, have no tear ducts, and cannot blink out irritants. The premise is that if their eyes are irritated than our eyes could be too. It is not very accurate, because our eyes and bodies are very different. And with all the new technology, it is such an unnecessary, antiquated and barbaric approach.

Thank you Thoughtcrime for sharing your knowledge and caring thoughts. It is sad that until now some very cruel ways of experimenting, testing in the name of science are still practiced by elite group of higher beings placed upon the less unfortunate and weaker ones.

I love this quote that Jeremy Bentham philosopher said, "The question is not, Can they reason? nor Can they talk? but, Can they Suffer?"
