I find at times that I breakout on my legs and other time they look dry or get bumps from shaving. Does anyone else get this problem?
Do you use any special product for your legs? |

I know what you mean. If I don't take care of my legs, which is often the case, they tend to look not so good. I find I really need to keep up on the exfoliating to keep my legs looking nice-- I like a salt scrub that is fairly abrasive, like the one from Philosophy). Also, a good razor (I like the shick Quattro) for shaving and using LOTS of shaving product. I like to slather on Suave body wash-- it's actually quite moisturizing. I always use a moisturizer on my legs, sometimes twice a day if I remember.
My legs are also PALE, and I find flaws like shaving bumps and minor bruises are diffused when I use a coat or two of Jergens gradual tanner. Sometimes, if I forget (or am just too lazy) to do that, and I'm wearing a skirt, I'll use my mineral makeup on my legs!
ANother tip-- sometimes I'll spray monoi oil right on my legs and smooth it up and down to get that glossy, moviestar type look. I usually only do this, though, if I have the fake tan going. |

I like to see what other people do to take care of their legs by skincare. |

I use a sugar scrub to slough off the flakies. Day time I don't have to put anything else on as the scrub I make moisturizes them pretty well. When I get home from work and take a shower I'll slather up with my body butter, my knees get super dry. It's helped alot.
I'm honestly thinking about going to get that laser hair removal thing as I am SOOOO tired of Nair(ing) all the time. Can't remember the last time I shaved them. I always would maim myself so gave up there |

I'll be interested to see the replies in this thread. The older I get, the more freckling and general crepiness I see. I HATE it!
I am using a body lotion with retinol/AHA which seems to help quite a bit with texture but the freckling seems to be pretty stubborn. Even TCA peels didn't do that much for me. Hate to think I'm headed towards wearing long shorts and pants the rest of my life. I know Amlactin 12%/20% is very strong and might have a better effect on them overall. But I also know this will make them more sensitive to the sun and am bummed by that thought.
Anyone have any ideas? Does that Mystic Tan/spray-on in a booth tan cover freckles? |

If you have dry skin on your legs, you might find it helps not using soap/shower gel. You shouldn't *really* need it unless you work as a motor mechanic.
Just exfoliating with those nylon scrub gloves and water should do the trick. |
