Does anyone know of a good at home micro-dermabrasion kit? And can anyone fill me in on some realistic benefits I can expect?

By kit im meaning either a step by step process or a one step peel.

Thanks heaps!

I've used both the Oil of Olay & the Epidermx.

I definitely prefer the Epidermx, but from what I've read it's more of a personal preference thing than superior product.

The benefit for myself is it sloughs off all the old skin, and flakies from peels. Leaves me skin looking fresh & feeing baby soft.

I actually got this with my last order from them, wasn't terribly impressed.

I use Epidermx and am loving the results for my fine lines, pores, and skin tone. My complexion looks very good now and it saves me a lot of makeup. Very Happy

I would have to say yes it does. Personally I would just use some kind of chemical exfoliant, such as glycolic acid. Depends how sensitive your skin is.

Actually it really does not cause broken capillaries and I had a friend/customer who it actually helped get rid of them. Wink

Epidermx is the best I ever used in this type of product. There is a renewed version of it about to hit the market too. I found it to be a superbly remarkable product for summer - never had ONE zit the entire summer when I used it. This summer, I am epidermx-less and especially at the moment (on my Dr. H. program) I have little zitties popping up all over the place. Crying or Very sad Embarassed

I tried the Origins microderm treatment(utterly useless) and I have been using the Cellex-C Speed Peel, which is like microdermabrasion and enzyme peel in one, but it seems a bit harsh on my skin. I have only used it a couple of times (stopped to do a month on Dr. H. products only) but after a couple more uses I will do a review.

Hi all, I've recently bought Neutogena's facial kit and I'm glad I got it onsale at drugstore.com b/c I'm not impressed. I've never had one at salon so I can't compare. Has anyone used both Neutrogena and Epidermx and can compare? TIA Mad

I like the two part system that Philosophy offers. It's called the Microdelivery Peel.

I love the philosophy 2 part kit, also. Great results. Much better than Olay or Neutrogena.

I used Oil of Olay...but I didn't really like it.

However, that's just me and I get somewhat lazy sometimes. I am going to try it again, as I spent 25 bucks on it...I think I'd be more likely to use it if I stick it in the shower, and use it in the morning.

I've never tried any other type of microderm abrasion...so it could be that I'm not doing it right.

I seem to goof up even "idiot proof" products... Laughing

Neutrogena's microderm kit broke my skin out really bad, but I like the handheld device you apply it with for washing my face. I really like Lancome's Microdermabrasion-C kit, it has a Vitamin C serum that I love.

I have the Epidermx aswell, took me a while to get used to the application but was really pleased with the results. I'm quite prone to broken capillaries it seems, and I did notice new ones after using the Epidermx so that's put me off using it again, which is a shame since it's such an effective product.

I've used both the Oil of Olay 2-step peel and Philosophy Microdelivery and honestly couldn't tell the difference...both apply the same and smell the same and the end result was the same, for me anyway. Only diff is price..Olay is cheaper.
