Hi, I've recently been using a topical treatment for a small patch of acne on my chin. The treatment consists of a night time and day time use. I am not a pharmacist but I beleive the night time application dries and the day time soothes or irratates the acne for the night time application to be effective.
Anyways, I have very sensative skin that produces alot of oil. I recently began washing my pillow cases more frequently because I noticed that the acne went away when I did, in conjunction I've also been washing my face with soap every night to make up for the amount of oil my faces produces regular soap nothing with moisturizer as I notice that when I apply facial moisturizers even if they are oil free I get pimples not right away but after 2 or 3 days of use.
Recently a deep red ruff patch of skin has developed on the left side of my face almost like rosesatia but it seems to have almost like black heads in this patch of skin. Also there is a deffient boundry of the ruff patch that it almost looks like a burn mark. I've stopped using the topical cream, but I've continued to wash my face and change my pillow cases which has helped the rest of my face.
I did see a dermatologist about this and was told there was nothing I could do about it except apply facial moisturizers with no oil, that only produces pimples for me when I use it too much. I am considering lazer treatment like the kind used for port wine stains. This red mark is quite obvious and the winter season is ending and I can no longer blame it on the cold wind. Any suggestions? |
