Money makes no difference to me on the Baby Q or Quasar. Having tried both, I prefer the Baby Q mainly because it doesn't over dry my skin or get too hot on my face. I just didn't like that heat flared up my rosacea. Now, if I didn't have rosacea, the Quasar would be great because of it's size and how quick it is. To me it's not about the monetary difference, but skin type.
My muscles do not get sore from holding it or using it at all , but I work out with weights and do pilates daily so I don't feel it. They stay sore enough on their own!
Never tried the DPL though. |

I'm wondering if just about anything can be applied after cleansing but before using the BQ. James had suggested I apply mild CP's before using BQ, and it did seem to amp up the results a tad. I follow BQ treatment with HA/emu.
So, now I'm thinking about the zillions of options... |

well if the larger one creates more heat and it can be drying that is not good for me either. I am hot enough with the hot flashes but I do acid peels and can't afford the drying. Does the Baby dry slightly? |

It dries me out a teeny bit but nothing a good hydrating cream can't fix. I would say really not even noticible. |

You won't be sorry either! Have been using mine since 2/14/07 and still love it! I've worked up to 2min each area on red setting and 4min each area on green setting. I use HA before and CP after.

Do you guys ever feel 45 min's 3 times a week is just too hard to keep up with all the other exercises and things we also need to take time for? Just would not want to start something that I am not going to keep up. |

I wondered about that too mommydearest before I got mine, but I found that once I got into the routine of using the Baby Q it was no trouble at all. I tend to use it while I'm catching up on watching tv, so it's down-time anyway. Now hauling my lazy ass out to the gym - that I have a few more issues with... |

I did keep up with it 2-3 times a week in the first 6 months but now I have found that once a week is really all I need for maintenance. |

just started reading the posts on this and I'm FASCINATED to say the least!!! Ladies, does it really work? I'm 40 with broken caps, and laugh lines that drive me NUTS! I've tried professional lasers w/ no noticeable difference...I'd love some honest opinions. Also, if it really does zap the red veins on face, i'm sold! |

Hyguee-To be perfectly honest, it did absolutely nothing for the broken caps, but I did not expect it to or bought it for that purpose. Those should be addressed by IPL or Yag, which is a type of laser. Now it does help with calming rosacea redness sometimes, but I wouldn't want to mislead you on the caps. If someone has had good results in that area, I would like to know. A broken cap has to be dissolved or collapsed in order for the blood to be reabsorbed back into the face, or so my understanding. I've had quite a few IPL's, and that's the only thing that worked for me. It does plump up the skin, therefore reducing the appearance of fine lines, but for me does not erradicate them. Again, just one person's honest assessment but there are probably many various degrees of success stories. I will add that I get enough out of it that I don't regret my purchase. |

I'm quoting myself, just to see if I might get any responses to the question of whether the BQ works well with just abut all actives, to push them in.
Also, Hyguee, I have some broken caps at one side of nose, and the BQ has not made any difference. |

I have quite a lot of broken capillaries on my cheeks and nose, and they seem to have diminished significantly since I started using the Baby Q. They are definitely still there, but just don't look as noticeable somehow. I have no idea why they are looking better, but I'm very happy regardless! |

Fif-Could be that the Baby Q helps them not be inflamed. I know sometimes my caps can be more irritated than normal.
Hyguee-the benefits for me are plumper, more even toned skin, helps the actives penetrate better I think. The reults are temp at best for a few days
Cedar-I sometimes use it after applying my actives and then I apply decleor oils. Makes skin smooth. I don't always like using the baby Q on just bare skin, makes mine a little drier. My fave way is after hydracool. |

annie,
you are using the Hydracool from Is Clinical are you also using other Is clinical products, and if so which ones? I received a sample of the super serum and used it in the a.m for almost 2 weeks. I wasn't all that thrilled with it and definately perferred the consistency of my skinmedica C complex so i didn't purchase. However, after reading all the RAVES about Is Clinical serums I'm torn. I am currently using skinmedica C in the morning and alternating nights between Mama lotion and Eulage. My concerns are melasma, periodic acne and fine lines.I'm 40 with combo, dehydrated skin. I'd love to hear your thoughts and input. Would Is Clinical be more effective? I'm so darn confused!!!! |

Yes, the Hydracool is from IS Clinical. I use Super Serum and Active Serums as well. I have a full size of the Super Serum that I ordered instead of the Proheal when EDS was on backorder for the Proheal. I will not reorder the Super Serum only because I love what Proheal does so much better for my skin. The retinol and olive leaf really helps it look more toned. It's not that I don't like the Super, it's just okay for me when comparing the two. Your skin concerns are very similar to mine. I think IS Clinical really makes a difference because I have random people comment on how great my skin looks all the time (I still see my flaws of course) and that started happening after I started using IS clinical 2 years ago. Now I do use the Baby Q, have peels, facials and I had a fraxel, but the compliments started back before those so that's what I most attribute it to. |

Annie,
or any other Is Clinical Active serum users...Can I use the active serum under Avene's Eulage cream? (it's a .5% retinol cream)or will it be too strong? also, if i can, when and where in this regime would i apply the hydracool? |

Never tried the reinol cream but I can tell you for me it would be too much. I follow the Active with the hyrdacool and I would bet you would use it after the retinol cream as well. |

Could we stay on topic, please? Please don't think I'm being crabby. I'm not. It's just that it looks like this about to become an IS Clinical thread and everytime I get notification of a new post, I come over expecting to see new info on the BQ.
Thanks

Ari, I don't think you sound crabby at all. The reason I prefer to stay on topic in threads is if I'm watching a topic, I don't want to be notified and then come to check, only to find it's an unrelated post.
Yep, I am watching this thread to see if I get any answers to my question from a couple days ago, so, I apologize if this post has brought you over to learn some BQ info! |

Hi
Ive had my Baby Q a while now but i just dont seem to be getting the results everyone else is. I have emailed James a couple of times (copies of the email below which i keep sending but i am not getting any response back) can anyone help please. Also, I really need to look at my skin care regime as that has gone to pot over the past couple of months. In fact ive been using up odd bits of samples but now really need to get started properly 0 maybe i should ask this in a new post
Hi James
I am a member of EDS and purchased the Baby Q off Ebay from you after following the thread on EDS. I have been using my baby Q now for sometime but im getting quite dispondent as i dont seem to be getting any sort of improvement. I have just been on the EDS site and have seen the response from a member called Cedar who you have been helping a lot with her programme
My main issues are as follows:-
Skin Tone - definately needs improving - large pore
to firm and tone up whole of skin - i seem to have lost elasticity and suppleness
Eye area - to reduce / diminish lines and crepiness under the eye; crows feet; also to lift and tone the eyebrow /eyelid area
mouth to nose area - to reduce/ erase lines
Forehead - quite large 11's - would like to reduce and remove.
I would say my skin is probably combination as it can appear shiny in areas and then i am prone to flakey parts to. I do notice i go abit flakey during the next day or so after using the Baby Q.
I just wondered James if perhaps you could help me. Most of the people on EDS who have purchased the Baby Q seem to be having such wonderful results.
I look forward to hearing from you
Kindest regards
Sally |

Hi Sally. I suggest, instead of e-mail, that you call James. Perhaps he is traveling; I'm not sure. I found that talking with James really helped zero in on my own personal skin concerns. He is a wizard at determining essential info. Here is his contact info; not sure if you've been using a general e-mail address, or his personal address. Good luck; let us know.

Salster,
Maybe you can try calling from someone else's phone / public phone as it is an 800 #. I guess you get charged for minutes with your cell regardless of the phone # |
