About 2 months I started using SkinCeuticals Serum 10 AOX and the resukt was quite good. My skin was bright and rosy. After 1 months later I have dermatitis on my face so I switched to PSF 20% Vit. C serum ( thinking phenoxyethanol may be the suspect). However I have never seen the same brightness and rosiness on my face again. And the PSF serum is definitely drier than the SkinC one.

So I was thinking maybe 20% is too high for me?

I find 20% very irritating on my skin. It didnt look dull but red and irritated looking. Was the dermatitis caused by sc vitamin c?

Since I have changed to PSF ( 1 Month ) my dermatitis is better than before (not completely gone though). Next time I will try the 12% serum. hope this will work for me.

i had used vit c 20% in the past and i noticed that it was too strong for my face. It made me look older, i think because it dried my skin too much..i am planning to use it again bt this time ill use the 10%, and see how it works this time.

i have bought the psf 20% and the cellularx 10% vit c but haven't had a chance to use it - what with having so many things to use up and so little time.... Exclamation Exclamation

Serves me right for buying too much and not giving anything a chance.

I found the opposite. My skin looks brighter now I've gone up to using a 20% C Serum, but I suppose it depends on your skintype and what other products you're using.

Hello everyone, I had previously posted about
PSF Emergen C 20%, after 1 month of use, I have no irritation and I suffer from atopic dermatitis all over my body. This Vit C did not irritate my skin, now I have noticed this past week that my skin is getting too oily after I apply it. This is too bad because it was not for the first 3 weeks. I might have to find a different one Sad

I don't think the concentration itself would make your skin look worse, it may be the formulation instead. The higher concentration may, however, be too much for your skin but I think you'd know this by now (stinging etc).

You've switched between two different brands. I haven't tried the AOX but the plain Skinceuticals serums are more drying than the PSF serum I have tried. It could have been other ingredients (like the ferulic acid I guess) in the AOX that are not in the PSF serum that were responsible for the added boost to your skin, but probably not the concentration. It would be interesting to see what happens if you switch to the 10% PSF - I doubt that you would see an improvement over the 20%. HTH

Hi lovejb--if AOX isn't working for you, i suggest you try skinceuticals c + e ferulic serum. It is doing wonders for me actually, i recalled my skin being dull before switching from DHC's vitamin C serum to the C + E ferulic. if you decide to spend money on the c e ferulic, try some sample vials since it is a bit pricey.
