I really want to protect the area around my eyes as I am 24 and it will the first place to show signs of aging. What is a good sunscreen that can be used around that delicate area or a good eyecream that has sunscreen in it that you have had good results with? Please also mention if I need a special product to remove the product.
Thanks |

Hi sweetp--
Welcome . I use a separate eye sunscreen because i have sensitive eyes and worry about regular sunscreen leaking in when i perspire. I like the clarins sun wrinkle control eye contour cream myself. it has 100% mineral filters and you definitely get a good quantity for the price you pay. it also has an spf 30, which is really high for an eye cream, they tend to only be spf 15 which isn't enough protection. since i use sunscreen daily, i remove everything with a cleansing oil. i am currently using DHC, but there are many other brands out there also. you can see my review of the eye cream here:

you would need another eye cream for night though, as this isn't moisturizing enough. Hope that helps! |

Hi I just use a separate sunscreen by Shiseido. It's an spf 35. It comes in different colors so that you don't need to apply a concealer.

I used to use an eyecream with sunscreen in it, but now I just use regular eyecream (cellcosmet) and put my facial sunscreen over my eye area. I also use shiseido's spf 55 sunscreen daily. My eyes are pretty sensitive, but I haven't had a problem with the sunscreen getting in my eyes.

I used to buy a separate eye cream with spf.
I have tried Elizabeth Arden eye wish spf 10 - pricy; only spf 10 but does moisturize well.
Low end - Avon Anew - chemical filters and another one by Avon called Age Block IIRC in a green tube. Both are under $20.00 spf 15 chemical filters.
I really liked clinique stop signs spf 15. 15ml jar for about $40.00 cdn. Actives are zinc oxide and oxtinate.
However I am using LRP Hydraphrase UV 30 as my regular sunscreen and I find it easier to apply a full face including eye area. I do apply a moisturizing eye cream (no spf) first then SS all over. My under eye area is dry.
A couple of other drugstore products (I haven't tried these) that have eye creams with spf are Nuetrogena 30 (has titianium dioxide as the active same as the Clarins).
Also Dove has one.
A lot of us just use our sunscreen in the eye area. |

I forgot to add that when I used eyecream with spf, it was Murad's essential C (I think that was the name) It is a good eyecream, and if I would go back to an eyecream with spf, I would probably use that one again. |
