Hi
I just received Salicylic acid powder 1lb (18 USD) that I bought from ebay. I tried to dissolve it in water but with no progress. I also tried vinegar with no progress too.
I read somewhere that it's soluble in ethanol. Does anyone know how to dissolve it?
I want to use it as a solution on acne for my little brother
I hope some one here can help

Salicylic Acid ~ is the only true beta-hydroxy acid. Salicylic acid occurs
naturally in many plant leaves. In topical preparations, salicylic acid is
used as an antiseptic, analgesic, and preservative. Having the ability
to exfoliate inside the pore itself, it works on the lower (dermal)
skin layers. Said to help aid skin renewal.
NOTE: Use with caution because the aspirin can be absorbed into the skin
and sometimes can burn the skin! Dandruff is a scalp condition which
produces a dry, flaking scaling scalp. Most people with dandruff
typically will treat their head with shampoos containing
selenium sulfide, salicylic acid or coal tars.
Corticosteroids may also be applied to
help limit the dandruff.
INCI: Salicylic Acid
Suggested Usage Rate: up to .05 - 2%
Solubility: Alcohol / Propylene Glycol |
