| I don't have them heavy, I just have very high cheek bones and a very defined and deep fold when I smile. So sometimes in certain lights when my face is relaxed there is still a bit of a crease where that fold is. What would help the most with that? Just building up collagen or elasticity of the skin, or would hyaluronic acid help the most? Something that can plump up the skin on that indentation? I don't mean hyaluronic injections, but something topical. Some topical active. Thanks. |

| BYRG, I have the same problem, except mine are deeper. You definitely need to start working on them now. I wish I had when mine were barely noticable. I've seen some improvement with the Janson Beckett serum and ADCE. Based on my results, I'd recommend that you use HA and a really good cream or oil. Some people seem to experience good results with at home peels, especially TCA. I've dabbled around with TCA but haven't really done peels consistently, so I couldn't report any results from that. The Janson Beckett has really firmed my skin in that area. Some people on here love it, but quite a few members didn't see any results with it. I don't necessarily think you have to spend that much money to get the same results. |

| I have the same problem, and am only just now starting to try and figure out what to do with them. They've only recently stopped disappearing when I stop smiling, and continue to be there. I need to do more research.... |

| I've nearly erased mine with glycolic peels. It took over a year but I only have a small line to the left od my mouth left and I think I will succeed in erasing it at least for a time (I'm 51). |

| My best friend did Restalyn & liked the results. He said it was very painful. I still think the best defense is sunblock & a hat for preventitive measures. |

Wow, I didn't know peels would get rid of them. I also didn't know they could be prevented. I mean it's like the whole facial expression thing. Unless I stop smiling, how can they be prevented from getting worse? I really don't even smile that much. I've always hated my joker smile with big chick monk cheeks. I thought a filler type of product would work best since it mostly just the shadow that causes the look. Maybe there are makeup products and techniques that could hide it? Like face highlighters and light reflectors?
Restalyn is certainly not an option. Besides for that pain factor (ouch!) and the price factor, and that I'm not convinced it is safe. I'm still only 29 and it's just a temp. thing. Like a life long commitment. I'm committed to skin care and makeup, but nothing like that. Not unless I was desperate. What about topical DMEA? |

I just have to agree when someone is so right  Now we need an emoticon with sunglasses and a hat 
I'd only add in avoidance of the sun, which for most people is easier said than done. |
