So at the end of last week I was beginning to get one of those huge, painful, under the skin pimples that eventually surface as white heads. I guess I decided to pop it too early, and have just made a big mess of the situation. It seems as though, it partially popped, there really isn't much of a bump there anymore, and it doesn't hurt. I think it has drained all the waym but the top layer of skin around it somehow got taken off, and if I squeeze it or irritate it at all it will start bleeding. It seems as though there's a dark pin prick spot still there. I dunno. I have a band aid over it now, and am just going to keep it cleaned and covered. It's on my nose. Thanks in advance.
Any suggestions?
Should I see someone about it? |

I once had that problem too, it was a really huge, painfu, and swollen pimple on my nose, it was unbearable!!! Exactly like what you have done, I popped out while it was not matured (I did that b/c I was in my trip and was so eager to take pictures that wouldnt show my big red nose). It didnt help at all, my nose became even more swollen and red (like inflammed) as I applied pressure to squeeze.
You really have nothing much to do with it until it becomes mature and dries out itself; what I did was I just kept applying on top of it the acne gel which helps accelerate the drying process; I also tried to avoid touching it too much, after about a week's time; it started to dry out and appeared smaller; when I noticed that it formed a pus (matured), I squeezed out the "debris" inside; keep applying the ance gel and then, it slowly recovered, it took about 2 weeks in total; I also tried to drink more water and avoid greasy foods.
However, even so, the scar remains; a mild grey scar remained on my nose; I am using the whitening cream hoping that it helps fade the color (though slowly). This is my experience, and I only have break-out occassionally, but if you have regular break-out; or if you have serious problem with this, you should consult the doctor for help. Wish you luck, dont worry about that, and dont pay too much attention on that, it should recover itself, but it takes time! |

| oh, I just wanted to add one more thing, I would not suggest you cover it with a band(age) at all unless you have an open wound there. It would generate a warm humid environment that the bacteira can multiply; but you are right that you have to keep it clean and dry, if you use colorless ance gel, you can just apply it in the morning, it would act as a shield that prevent introduction of germs; yet it allows the underneath skin to breathe... anyway, HTH. |

I hardly ever break out, or even have pimples. I have no scars, so hopefully this will not become one. It looks a lot better today though, thanks for your help.
