I think fashion rules are stupid. If you like something and it looks great wear it whenever, wherever you want! I had a friend come over the other week with a bright yellow leather hobo bag. I wanted it soooooooo bad, she is older and very "refined" but she managed to pull this bag off like a charm. I really do think its all about attitude, Im pretty out there with my fashion but I try not to get too "trendy", thats really my only rule. Just rock your purse and say to heck with everybody.Very Happy

I wish I had a yellow hobo bag..... Sad

Well, I can see how it could go with my black winter coat but what colour of scarf and boots and hat?

Too much yellow is not good. I just want it to blend well and look really put together.

I know the bag could go with my brown, black and purple clothes.

I think grey would be really striking, also maybe a cool print like leopard, definitely very dark denim jeans and um, dark cherry colored boots with stacked heels....just my opinion, maybe not all together but it would be a good match with those individually. Of couse white would also look good. Smile

Hi Skincare - I'd love to find a yellow bag! And I agree that it could be a year-round item. With black, you may want to do variations of the other primary colors (red and blue), in shades that correspond to the type of yellow of your bag. Some white or off white thrown in could tone down the richness.

But I wholeheartedly agree with vonstella that greys of varying shades would be great with black and yellow. And like you said, it will easily go with earthier tones like browns, russets, greens, taupes, etc.

I hope you have fun and enjoy it!

I would love a yellow bag for winter. I saw a beautiful leather one whilst in Bangkok earlier this year AND DIDN'T GET IT!! I'm still kicking myself. You could wear it with all winter colours: black, brown, grey, plum etc but I think it's not what you wear it's how you wear it. Carry it with attitude and you'll look fab!

yellow is such a nice colour, especially in winter when there's little time that we will catch the sun

i don't think there r strict rules, fashion is more about u and ur style..if u like wearing yellow with fushia and it makes u feel great, then that's your rule of fashion Very Happy
