Any opinions on these brushes? From other reviews I guess they're not quite as good as BE or JI but they are a lot less expensive. Does anyone have any experience of them? |

When I got a few of the samples I went ahead and ordered the Everday Kabuki and Powder Brush, it's okay but felt a little harsh to me. So I went ahead and ordered the Premium kabuki and powder brush..much much better, so much softer and I was surprised for the amount I paid for them. Think I may go ahead and also order the rest of the premium brusyes. |

Do they shed?
I found the BE kabukis shed too much!! |

My EDM baby kabuki shed like crazy (left hairs all over my face - worse than the BE kabuki) and was scratchy to boot. I tried gently pulling out the obviously loose hairs -- and a whole hunk of them came out in a clump. The bristles were obviously not glued in very well.
Similar experience with my EDM concealer brush. The first time I used it, it literally fell apart in my hand after only a few strokes. The handle came completely unglued from the rest of the brush. If I ever get around to gluing it back in, it'll probably be fine, but the kabuki wasn't salvageable at all.
IMO, they're cheap because they're cheaply made. There are lots of other inexpensive brushes out there that are of much better quality. |

The black ones shed like crazy, but the premium line doesn't and it's very soft. Plus they're lifetime warranty so you can always get them replaced. I was made when I ordered just the regular blush and kabuki brush because it was leaving black hairs all over my face, so I tried the premium line, much much better and for the price quite satisfied.
Hope...it's funny, when I received my blush brush from EDM the first time I tried it the handle came right off . I was like good lord, what a cheap a$$ brush! |

The normal brushes are pretty cheaply made, but their premium brushes are very soft. I have really sensitive skin so normal brushes like the BE kabuki are extremely scratchy and they tend to tear up my skin and give me rashes, but the EDM premium kabuki is very soft and never scratchy (even if I jab myself with the brush).
My premium kabuki does shed a bit, but it's only a couple of hairs, is this normal? It's certainly not as much as the BE brushes though and EDM offers lifetime warranties on their premium brushes so the price is a real steal! |

I had the same experience. I ordered the Baby Kabuki and Everyday Brush. They are shed quite abit and the bristle abit stiff, not soft enough. In my 2nd sample order (as the shades are not right in my first order), I ordered the Premium Foundation brush and it is way softer and better made. If you want to order, go for the premium range which is still decently priced. |

Kayanl and goofygal,
What brushes do you two have so far? I have the kabuki and the blush brush. I was thinking about the concealer and the fan brush also, not sure if I need them though.
Also I think it's normal to lose a hair or two, no brush will keep ALL the hairs in tact, at least that what I think. I can deal with minimal to no shedding, the regular ones were far too excessive and quite abrasive to my skin. Now I need to toss them which stinks because I've only used them like twice. I hate wasting money on products only to find out they're useless and need to be replaced. |

Thank you for all the suggestions. I need to order the full size foundation so I think I'll try the premium foundation brush. I like the BE but my kabuki has 'come out' of the handle, if that makes sense? I wanted to try something a bit more affordable and if they come with a guarantee that's even better! Thanks again! |

Hi ariesxtreme,
I only have 3 EDM brushes so far:
- Baby Kabuki Brush,
- Everyday Powder Brush and
- Everyday Premium Foundation Brush
Have not used any brand of Fan brush, thus can't comment. I have a concealer brush from a drug-store brand (can't remember the brand) which is part of a brush set. I used it with EDM concealer under my eyes. Could be my wrong application method, it packs on too much powder and doesn't look nice. It just dawn on me that that concealer brush might for liquid/cream concealer only!! Not sure if there is any difference but personally, I like to blend liquid/cream concealer with fingers, thus, never used that brush till I have the EDM concealer. Well, let me know how the FAN brush and concealer brush works out for you (if you get it). I am tempted to get the Premium Kabuki brush...
Hi Rachael,
I have the Everyday Premium Foundation Brush and my personal preference is Kabuki Brush for the foundation application as it blends better and it gives a lighter coverage. As the Premium Foundation Brush is not packed/tied circular like Kabuki brush, you can't really buff with it. IMO it packs on more powder which gives a thicker coverage. I use the Premium Foundation Brush with either the Finishing powder (since it's transparent) or Jurlique Silk Rose. That's just my personal preference.

Sorry, just want to clarify that I use BE Kabuki brush for Foundation application. Not the EDM Baby Babuki, which is too small for foundation application. Thanks. |

Yes, for my foundation I use the premium kabuki brush, I feel the baby brush might be too small. I really do like the feel of the premium brushes, I don't know how you can stand the shedding and the harshness of the the regular brushes. It hurts my skin to even think about it |

I have to agree with GoofyGal. The only EDM brush I have is the Everyday Premium Foundation Brush. I found it too flat. I ended up "patting" on the foundation so it went on too thick. I have JI's Handi Brush so I tried that instead and the coverage was much better. |
