Don't know about anyone else here, but I'm not a fan of wearing my hair down. I do it sometimes, but find myself constantly touching it/feeling like I need a brush when I do. I guess it just makes me feel self-conscious.

So I am looking for creative ways to put my hair up, because the whole "messy bun" thing is good for a jam but not particularly attractive or special.

How do you all wear your hair and are there any simple up-dos you can recommend?

When I usually wear it up I'll do a tease at the crown of my head so there's a poof if you will and then wear it in a ponytail. Or sometimes I do a side ponytail with a few loose long bangs on the side.

I love this style:

The "everyday version" of this is to gather some hair from the top your head, twist it and use bobby pins to fix it in place (allow the front part to be a bit loosened so you get that volumous effect), and then just tie the rest of your hair up in a pony tail. Smile

Bingo, that's exactly how I wear my ponytails, usually when I'm going out though.

I make a french braid. I start not at the top but from the sides but take it as high as to the crown.

I have hair that can be either worn down (because it is styled) or able to put up in a ponytail, or in a low pony tail more at the base of my scull. Are you talking about a more professional day style? Casual? Jeans? I find the styles today so flexible anything goes. (Maybe that is because I live where the cows go to rest.) Neutral

Babs Very Happy
