There was an article in the newspaper a couple of weeks ago about some new shoes from a company called 'chung-shi'. Also, last year, a lot of celebs were wearing MBT's (Maori Barefoot Technology shoes). Both types claim to tone up core muscles in your body because you have to concentrate to keep your balance. There is a store near us which stocks both and I had intended to go and try to see which felt most comfortable. But, before I spend £125 (gulp), has anyone here tried them? TY for any replies. |

I have the MBTs and love them. However, I don't have any experience w/the other brand. |

Thanks for the reply Scalawaggirl. Would you mind answering just two specific questions? Did you find them fairly easy to get used to and do you think they helped tone your legs/bottom and mid-section? I walk my dog every day and hoped they might help tone up the rest of me whilst walking - according to the manufacturer's claims, anyway. |

I've had MBT's for a couple of years. I love them !
I had no trouble getting used to walking in them, but I still can't run in them...laughing.
Great butt lifters.. |

I used them for a year and didn't see any difference in my thighs (well, no more than my normal trainers would do).
They also didn't help prevent backache which is another reason I got them. |

Actually, when I first got them, they gave me a backache!!! Probably because they force an unusual change in your stride... |
