I have a problem. Everytime i try to do a smokey-eye i.e. dark eyeshadows, the shadow pigments always fall onto my bottom lids, giving me the dark-ringed panda eyes. I get this no matter how much i tap my brush prior to applying my MAC shadows. I figure they would stick on my lids better when I use an eyeshadow base, but they still fall out. I get some of them out by sweeping my lower eyelids with a Q-tip, but i'm concerned about stretching the delicate skin there and getting wrinkles...the Q-tip never fully removes them anyway. Any ideas on how to prevent this?

Try putting some loose face powder under the eye area in a semi-crescent to catch the falky bits and then dust off at the end. Also try eye primer - I have Laura Mercier, which I like. HTH.

I always do my eyes first so I can avoid messing up my foundation. If I forget then I just use a bit if moisturizer on a cottonball and sweep away the loose shadow, then blend a bit more foundation on that spot. Also if you put a itty bitty tad of moisturizer on your ES brush then dip in the pigment and tap excess off, it helps it stay on the brush and not fall everywhere.

I use the Trish McEvoy Finish Line which turns any eye shadow int a creamy gel texture. It really works and I don't have any problems with drizzle any more. I believe Paula Dorf makes a similar product called Transformer. I would also recommend doing the eye first and the foundation afterwards.

might sound a bit odd, but u can also hold a tissue under ur eye as u apply ur eyeshows, then anything that falls lands on that and not ur skin.

That's exactly what I do.... Put a HEAVY (like to the point where it's a small pile) dusting of cheap loose powder right under my eyes and then when I'm done I just sweet it away with a powder brush.
