Can you just disolve hyalunoric acid powder supplement in some water, like 1% to make your own HA serum? I don't see why they are so expensive when the powder is so cheap and you need so little ratio to the water.
Also, would it be comptable to add other actives to a serum with HA in it? Like ALA, CoQ10 or other extracts or anti-oxidants?
I see all these bulk actives for sale and would love to make my own serums but I don't know what I can put together in one or what should be seperated into their own serums etc.
Thanks! |

BYRG, I've seen directions for it somewhere. I think they were on the DIY recipe thread. I don't think the recipe used the capsules, but I'd also be curious to know it this works. I never "DIY" because I'm afraid I'll mess it up, but I like to start. |

HA can easily be dissolved in distilled water. ALA & CoQ10 are oil soluble. |

Candy, What is CoQ10 good for on the skin? I have a huge bottle of it that it veterinary grade. - Bought it for the dog, but she doesn't really get any benefit from it. I wonder if I could make some skin ointment out of it for her owies. |

Great! Thank you! That information is pretty helpful. I didn't realize it was that beneficial. Maybe I put both the dog and myself on it. |

Hi!
I have made the Vit C serum and LOVE IT! I am taking the HA capsules also. (such great info I have found here~ thanks for that!)
Now I have been reading about the HA added to the Vit C serum. What is the benefit to using 1/2 HA and 1/2 PG?
TIA!
