Mineral make ups are great for some sensitive skin types. A lot of people like every day minerlas, I've never tried that brand, you can order samples from thei site.

I have quite sensitive skin that is more irritated with contact.. like rubbing (liquid foundations) or buffing..

Also consider a good natural and soft brush to apply mineral makeup.

I think powders, pure mineral makeup, is the best for sensitive skin.

Yes, I too find that to much rubbing irritates me. I have tried BE and couldn't get on with it (looks shiny and makes me itch). Can you recommend any other powders (that you don't have to buff in)? Maybe just pat on!!!

Hi! Two powders that I've found that have worked beautifully for my sensitive skin are Colorscience Sunforgettable and Jurlique's Rose Silk Dust. The Sunforgettable is completely mineral based (zinc oxide is supposed to help soothe irritated skin), and you don't have to buff--- I either dust the stuff on with a brush or pat some on with a makeup sponge. The Rose Dust,on the other hand, is either rice starch or corn starch based (I can never remember), with a lot of skin-soothing botanicals thrown in for good measure. The Rose Dust is so pure and and so soothing, I even sleep in it! HTH!

I have sensitive skin and really love Dr Hauschka cosmetics. I pretty much use the whole line. You should really give it a try. I also use Jane Iredale eyeshadow and found it excellent as well. Doesn't irritate sensitive eyes and has great staying power.

Shiseido Sun Protection Liquid Foundation works great for my sensitive and oily skin. I haven't tried them but they also have powder foundations in this line.

I have sensitive/combo skin and I love amoraleigh foundation powders...I do buff them on but you can also dab them on with a sponge. I also do not have a reaction to glo minerals, pure makeup by covergirl and perscriptives foundatons. I am a foundation addict so I have tried LOTS!

My super sensitive skin loves mineral makeup but can't tolerate a brush at all. So I buy it in compact form and apply with a flocked sponge. (The compact I like best is "True Cosmetics" because it gives good coverage without that shiny Bismuth ingredient.) Also it's a pretty effective sunblock. If I wait a few minutes before applying a second layer, then I can go to the beach and no sun gets through. Cool

I've had the best luck so far with True Cosmetics as well. My skin freaks out if I use a kubuki brush to buff it in, so like alohagirl, I've been using a flocked sponge. If I need extra coverage, I use a tinted moisturizer first, then layer the True compact over it.

I recommend mineral foundation powder as well. Just make sure that you get a really soft brush (that is still suitable for MMU application - e.g. Jane Iredale Handi brush) and clean it on a regular basis to keep it really soft. If you can't use a brush on your skin then use a flocked sponge instead.
