Hi, I'm new to the forum.
I'm 28, and have noticed my skin changing. It is on the sensitive side, lots of freckles. My t-zone is getting increasingly oily, and I have lots of large pores appearing where I used to only have a few. It's a genetic thing, my mum and brother have them as well. On my chin I used to get hormonal acne, but I now have that well under control since starting using Alpha-H liquid gold glycolic toner. I use Jurlique cleanser and a their Calendula cleanser with rosewater, really light. During the day I use a sunscreen.
So (after all that!) what do people think would be the best product to beat my pores? Any masks that may do the trick? Or do I need to readjust my whole routine, which had been working so well!
Thanks! |

I've noticed that anytime I don't use at least one product containing salicylic acid, my pores get clogged, larger, and break out. I also find that retin-a has helped reduce the visibility of my pores. |

I swear by a toner for minimising pores, Witch Hazel works well on my oily skin.
I also like the Dr Hauschka skincare regime for oily/impure skin, my skin looked redient after using the Cleansing Cream, Clarifying Toner and Normalising Day Oil. Their Clay mask is also also effective.
Jojoba Oil works well too as an overnight moisturiser. |

Hi Freckles!
I agree with anomaly that salicylic acid is a nice product to have in your routine.
As far as a mask goes, one that I have had good luck with is the Ice Elements Blueberry mask. It has lightening and tightening properties, as well as it is an antioxidant. It works great for tightening the pores too... I use it 2 or 3 times a week for at least 10 minutes at a shot...
The mask is forumulated thin like a serum and is also hydrating... it does not leave that tight mask feeling.
Take care.

I would recommend the Trish McEvoy Beta Hydroxy Pads based on the fact that you need pore reduction, but have sensitive skin. |

I have the same problem. I am constantly fighting those pesky thing. Thing is, I think we notice them more than other people because we are looking for them. I have been using IS clinical active, except now I am alternating with cps every other night. I like the active and the next morning I can certainly see a difference in my pores, but probably just because it cleans them out and I'm sure there is something out there just as effective for way cheaper. Manslayer liz uses mandelic acid. There is a review on it in the review section. Alot of people use paulas choice bha. Thats supposed to be good at cleaning them babies out. The cleaner they are, the less big they seem. HTH. Rae |

using a toner with BHA should help the problem. and I have dry skin so I like to use a moistrizing mask 2 or 3 times a week. it think it helps to plump up the skin so the pores appear smaller. |
