My mum has asked me to get a cellcosmet moisturizer for her, but i am not quite sure which one to buy. I see EDS carries quite a few and i am confused on the different types if i am looking for a moisturizer for sensitive and mature skin. any help please?
also, anyone with sensitive skin that can't tolerate the day cream? |

Do you mean the Sensitive Day Cream? I have very sensitive skin and used this for a week and it seemed to irritate my skin and give it an uncomfortable tight feeling. I am eventually going to try it again and see if it still bothers me. |

Hi TheresaL--
Yes, i meant the cellcosmet sensitive day cream. my mom has been using the little sample size and she likes it, but i think it's been making her face a little more red than usual. she had been able to curb the redness of rosacea using some products earlier, but she seems to want to use cellcosmet (she used the brand when she was younger), but i am not sure if the sensitive day cream suits her anymore. Also, given the other choices, can she try the other cellcosmet moisturizers, especially the ones aimed at more mature skin, instead of just sensitive skin? |

I think your mom should try the other Cellcosmet moisturizers. It seems at least for me that Cellcosmet products are hit and miss for my sensitive skin. Two of the products that I tried that are more so geared towards sensitive skin (the Sensitive Day Cream and the Cleansing Cream) have actually irritated my skin. While the Purifying Gel and Eye Cream cause no irritation. I have samples of the Concentrated Day and Night Creams that I plan to try because I am curious to see if they will irritate my skin. I don't plan on buying them if they don't irritate but I am hoping to get a sense of what ingredient(s) might be causing a problem for me. If your Mom tries any of the other moisturizers let me know how they work for her. |

It was always suggested that you use Sensitive day/night cream first, even tho you may not be sensitive. Then you can move on to Ultra Vital for both day and night. But if your mother gets severe dryness in the winter, she can purchase Concentrate day/night cream and maybe the Ultra Vital for the summer.
I do get very dry at times in the winter and may have to purchase Concentrate day/night cream but I think the Ultra Vital will do for me for now.
Theresa was help for me on this but maybe Kate Sumerville Quench would be nice for your mother. I don't think I will get it because it is comedimic(sp?). |

Skincare if her mother has sensitive skin the retinol in the Quench might cause too much irritation. It depends though. I have very sensitive skin and don't experience irritation from retinol. |

Hi TheresaL--good point you make about the sensitive skin formulas. she has been using the sensitive day cream and her face is definitely more red than before. i am gonna let her try it out for a few more days.
Skincare--my mom actually has fairly oily skin so i don't think the concentrate cream would be good for her. the ultra vital sounds good though. i notice it comes in 2 packages, is there a difference between the jar and the pump?
thank you for your replies. because cellcosmet is pricey, i think with my next order, i will be requesting a sample of the ultra vital with my next order before i purchase the whole thing for her. and of course, i will definitely update. |

ok, sorry but maybe the oil would think out the retinol? Who knows?
Maybe it would be safe if she stayed away from that. |

Ok, that is good to know....I have oily skin but because of my medication and with my age, I find a moisterizer does help and so far Sensitive did not create more acne for myself.
Good luck with your mom! |
