I am looking for a good C serum, free of potentially harmful chemicals and I cam across Henry Tianus' C serums thanks to this forum, but my question is, how stable could this C serum b with all of the phyto additives?
Ingredients:
'Rosa X Damascena'* hydrosols (Rose Water,) Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Stabilised Vitamin C), Aloe Barbadensis* (Aloevera) Concentrate, Aqua & Phospholipids & Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid), Corylus Avellana (Hazelnut) Oil, Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5), Alcohol*, Hydrocotyle asiatica'* (Gotu Kola) Extract, 'Symphytum spp'* (Comfrey) Extract, Vaccinium myrtillus'* (Billberry) Extract, 'Althea officinalis'* (Marshmallow) Extract, Lactic acid, Panax Ginseng'* Extract, 'Arctium lappa'* (Burdock) Extract, Glycyrrhiza glabra'* (Liquorice) Extract, 'Calendula officinalis'* (Calendula) Extract, Tocopherol (Plant-based Vitamin E), Retinol Palmitate (Vitamin A), Bisabolol (from German Chamomile), Hydrolysed ulva lactuca Extract (Aosine -Marine Algae), Glucose & Glucose Oxidase & Lacto Peroxidase (Natural Enzyme Preservative), 'Echinacea purpurea'* (Echinacea) Extract, Xantham Gum (Natural Thickener).

Since the Vitamin C they are using is Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate and not L-ascorbic acid stability is probably not an issue.HTH |

Thank you so much. Do you know if the type used is less beneficial to the skin than L-ascorbic acid? |

IMO it is not as beneficial since ascorbic acid is the form of vitamin C that has been proven to boost collagen production. If you are mainly interested in the Vitamin C for antioxidant protection then it doesn't matter so much if you use a form other than the ascorbic acid. HTH |

This serum is actually not as stable as one would like to think.
Despite using magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, it is recommended that the product be used in 3 months.
I have used samples of this, and it is a very lovely serum, I saw greater clarity in my skin, but not sure if long term use could have any of the collagen boosting effects - as Theresa said. |
