I am very happy with my Orbis liquid milk deodorant... yes it is anti-p, but I love that the product has no smell, no stickiness, no white muck to rub off on my clothes and it keeps me dry and odorless. I sweat in plenty of other places to get out toxins ( that is not meant to be gross in any way) and if I am just staying home I dont bother using deodorant at all.
I used to avoid aluminium in deodorants but then I figured I have a higher chance of dying in an earthquake, rogue North Korean missile or getting crushed in Tokyo's rush hour.... |

I was in search for Deodorant without Aluminium too, I found most of the natural ones don't work well except for the crystals, but I hate the way you are supposed to use it, not too hygenic and most of the time, they don't smell good. I finally found the one which makes me HAPPY, it's LUSH's Aromacreme, looks different, it's actually shea butter+baking soda+antiseptic stuff, smells great and really works !!

I was always skeptical about whether the "natural" health food store-type deodorants worked, but on a whim I tried one a few years ago and haven't used anything else since! It's called Lafe's Natural Crystal...
It's inexpensive and lasts FOREVER...well over a year. So, you may want to give this a try!
Hope this helps!

Cool! I've been wondering about the natural crystal deodorant. I think I will try it out!!! |

Does anyone know of a deodorant that smells great, but leaves no white marks? I have tried all the secret, soft and dry, dove, etc brands and I hate the gels, cuz they make me feel like I just sweated when i put it on.
Has anyone found a drugstore brand that smells great and doesn't leave a trail down the side of your shirt???
Thanks

No, but if you happen to find one, please share! The mineral ones aren't too bad about that, though. They don't really have a scent, though. |

I like Mitchum also! Though, it seems like I use a deodorant for 6 months or so and then it stops working. Hopefully it won't be the case this time! Certain Dri is EXCELLENT if you want to avoid the sweat...perfect for special occassions! Put in on at night though because you don't want to put it on after your morning shave! |

Rcasone, does it wash off in the shower the next morning? Would you have to apply something else or go without completely? |

No, it doesn't wash off after your shower. You do, however, still need to apply a deodorant after your morning shower. It only stops the sweat, not the smell! |

Oh, okay. I'd rather stop the smell than the sweat, so I guess it's not for me. |

My roommate in college LOVED Mitchum b/c of their slogan: "So effective, you could skip a day."
I have been using the crystal on and off for about a month - I find I'm not sweating TOO much (although it IS almost winter) and at the end of the day there's just an odd, although not really offensive odor.
Like someone else said, I feel like I have worse B/O WITH the regular kinds of deodorant than w/o it...things that make you go hmmmmmm... |

I've been using the Addidas gel, and I like it quite a bit. I've actually forgotten to put it on a few times and had no odor at all. |

Even though it's expensive, I am finding the Weleda Wild Rose deodorant to work well. Some people have mentioned that the rose scent is wonderful, but I don't mind it. It goes on floral smelling (of course) but fades to just a nice clean scent, IMO. But what really amazes me is that it keeps odor away all day for me. |

Okay,
I tried Mitchum Invisible (powder fresh) the whole week last week and really like it. It doesn't leave a white residue at all, but it doesn't really smell like anything.
I don't really sweat and don't have too much a a problem with odour so I think it's fine, but the other deodorants I used to use smelled really nice. Like if you lifted your arm up in the middle of the day to do something, you could smell a nice fresh scent.
But what i don't miss about the other deodorants is the white pit stains! Oh well I guess I won't be sniffing my pits anymore! |

I couldn't get Dove off in the shower! It seemed to leave a gummy film. Ugh! Maybe I used too much. |

Thats pretty weird! I know that if I apply Dove or Degree or Secret and go to take a shower 30min or so later, it will leave a gummy film. But if I need to take a shower a few hours after, everything will wash off fine. Maybe because it had the time to absorb into the skin (scary thought) or rubs off on my clothes. Hmmm, so I don't think you used to much. I think its just the product. Maybe. Wow, I'm not too sure, sorry I can't be of much help.
I'm interested in the crystal deodorant 'thing'. What is it exactly? Sorry for being a newbie at this. And where is it available? Someone said WalMart, is that so? A bombardment (anyone know how to spell this, lol) of questions, I know. |

I have just started using a few products from Neways and it was the deodorant that got me started. Neways products are chemical free and certainly the deodorant worked. Most of their products don't have any smell as they don't add perfumes. I have tried the hair shampoo and conditioner which I really like and absolutely love the hair replenishing mist which is just like a spritz for your hair. You can use it anytime and it instantly makes your hair lovely and soft. I think Neways are available in many countries. If you are interested they are atwww.neways.com |

Hmm.. I might have to try the Neways.
Girldelvov, you can also get the crystal deo at Target, and I've seen some at Rite Aid too. I can't think of the names. |

From the main page, select products, then Personal Care
http://www.neways.com/Product/PersonalCare.aspx
then click on Fortify and a list of products will show in a box. The Deodorant is the last in the list.
The ingredients are: Methylpropanediol, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, butylene glycol, hamamelis, virginiana extract, water, coriandrum sativum extract, salvia officinalis leaf extract, commiphora myrrha extract, eucalyptus globulus leaf extract, saccharamyces ferment. |
