I received a lovely information package from this company called Janesce. It is an Australian based skincare company that is similar to Jurlique - grows and processes its own plants to create its products.
It seems like the products are only available in Australia and New Zealand at the moment, and through beauty therapists/spas.
The products look simple, with things called 'soaking drops', and others that look like oil based cleansers and moisturisers.
Has anyone heard of or used these products? I will be popping down to a local stockist to play around with the products.. Perhaps another lemming!

This range looks beautiful! Thank you for posting the link. I have just written to the company to find out more about the ingredients as I want to avoid lanolin, beeswax and several preservatives. I hope to hear from them soon, shame there isn't more ingredient information on the website. Let me know what you think of it if you have a look at the range. |

Yep! They are the products created by a lady here in Adelaide, South Australia whose name is Jan Smith. She ran a Beautician's training academy ( not sure if it still running) for many many years... my cousin did her 2 year course in the 80s and used to use me in there for practice doing facials etc. She came to her wedding and all!
Anyway....
They are lovely products. They are organic and she has ranges for Oily/combo - which is clarifying ( which have a light gel liquid as the night treatment..not a cream... its a bit Dr Haushka-ish in some ways) ... the normal skin range is based on Lavender ( does have cream moisture) and the Dry on rose...which smell divineeeeee. They use the drops in hot water with wrung out cloth, pre cleansing ala Jurlique etc and it's a lovely feeling.
It was nice to see our very local products mentioned here! If you get the chance ..have a go.. they are really lovely. Body products are great too.. gorgeous hand cream etc. They have been around for at least 20 years here... no, probably more actually. |

I saw on their product list, not sure if it is on the website, that they have prescription products which are dispensed by practitioners only. They are for topical skin problems like acne, eczema, etc. But by the names alone it doesn't give any clue to what they are made of. |

That would undoubtedly be "special potions" that they use in salons that sell their products. Much in the same way that Dermalogica have a "home care" range but use different things on the client when they have facials etc. They must want to get you in there and diagnose the problem properly rather than just sending out such specific products I guess. By practitioner however, it wouldn't be a Doctor or anything! |
