Hi girls
I am only a few weeks pregnant, and my skin does not seem to agree on the pregnancies. I am breaking out around my lower cheeks and chin. Those nasty painful pimple
I am currently use the following
OCM-ing only at night
Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel
ACV toner with tea tree
Dermalogica - ActivMoist
Pientzehuang Pearl Cream (when very dry)
JB - Green Apple (I alternate with Aspirin Mask)
I also use DermaWand to zap it every night.
Any suggestions? |

When you are preg. your hormones are raging. They are suppose to. You have a precious bundle of joy in you. Congrats by the way. I found that my skin was bad in the first three months...then it was glowing for the rest of my preg. (My pre-natal vitiamns helped). After I delivered is when I was dealt with a nightmare of skin. Spent the next 12 years trying to get my good skin back. |

This is true, hormones are to blame, the same thing happened to me except mine stayed good after I gave birth(with the exception of going on BC pills, that made it worse so I stopped.)
We all know that stress can play a major role in breakouts so my advice wuld be to relax and focus on this special time for you and your family. Also I would try to be very minimal in your skincare routine as skin can be more sensitive and reactive during pregnancy, maybe what I would incorporate is a simple clay mask to help dry up excess oil and existing blemishes. Fresh Umberian Clay Treatment Bar is a good choice, it helped me alot during those first few months. As always a well balanced diet and lots of water will help too.
Be happy and Major Congrats on your new addition! |

You might want to take a look at Ice Elements acne serum. It is great stuff!
You can find it at http://iceelements.com
You can use it to spot treat or use it over your entire face. For the entire face it only takes 1 - 2 drops of product. It feels great and does not have any Benzoyle Peroxide.
If you take a look at the message boards over there and do a serch for acne serum you will see lots of testimonials on it.
Take care.

it's totally normal to break out badly when your pregnant. Your hormones are to blame for this, but it will be all worth it in the end when you deliver your precious baby. I had the worst break outs when I was pregnant and there is not much you can do about it. |

Thanks for the replies.
I hope the skin will only be bad for a while..fingers crossed
But like you guys said, I should concentrate on enjoying the moment. I will know on Thursday how far I am in the pregnancy. I can't wait!! |
