What is your hair like?
I've never dyed mine before and it's dark brown and long and wavy (though I wish it wear either curly or straight). When I'm at school, I'll wear it in a ponytail or messy bun.
I'm also wondering if anyone here has experience with side-swept bangs. I'm thinking of going that route as I'm not a big fan of my own forehead. |

Hi Kiki678!
I had pretty long hair just a week ago with lots of long layers, and it was literally a wash and go!
but I just got it cut to just below my shoulders and I'm finding that I actually need to put effort into it (blow dry/product). but I have pretty poofy hair, so i'm struggling a bit with it.
I have had side swept bangs for a few years now! and I LOVE THEM!!!
I too have a forehead complex and this helps a lot! (although it can clog your pores if you wear too much product on your bangs!)
they're nice because I can pin them back as well (if they're long enough). and I find that I look just a little more polished with my bangs even if I just wear a messy bun!
if you aren't used to bangs, it will take you a few days to think they look good on you probably, but I find this happens with me too every time I get them cut because it's just that "newly cut hair" look.
and definantly bring a photo of a celebrity/hair style with the bangs you like in with you!
good luck with that if you decide to do it! |

Mine is always past shoulder length, right now it's straight, planning to perm waves during Xmas. Right now it's dyed a dark mahogany which ends up looking auburn in sunlight. I have angled bangs, they're not really side-swept, they hang down like normal bangs but they are angled so my head does not end up looking like a mushroom. I LOVE my bangs a lot but I find I need a good hairdresser to make my bangs look good, if they're too tidy I'll still end up looking like a mushroom. My hair is also layered because I have fine hair and if I keep it all one-length it will just stick to my head. I rarely wear my hair up because I'm lazy and I just look better with hair hanging down. I'll wear it up if I didn't wash my hair that day. Right now I'm pretty loving my hair especially my bangs because I don't like my large forehead either. |

I have really long hair, probably about 6 inches from my waist. I have wavy/curly hair so most of the time I wear it naturally. For occassions and so forth I straighten it and then put it in big curlers to set for at least 30 min.
I have long bangs that I sweep to the side. I have also long layers. I do wear the hair up alot, either half up or all the way with pins and such. |

My hair is about 2-3 inches long, still growing out from an unfortunate 3am run in with clippers! I am determined to grow it out over the next couple of years. Although I think Im a "short hair" person I want to see what I look like with long hair...its been about 10 years! Right now its very short and messy(pretty cute actually!) and my natural hair color for the first time in about 10 years as well.
Anyone comfortable posting pics? I will if others do! |

I have some bangs, but you can't really see them because most days I wear my hair blown back with A LOT of volume, ala Angelina Jolie. |

My hair is now just past my shoulders with shorter layers, I have gone back to my natural mid/dark blonde colour and mainly wear it blown straight or scrunch dried for curls.
Occasionally I will tie back. |

I'll go first since I've got pics all over the forum!
My normal look when I do not want to spend any time on it:
My slicked back look when it's shorter:
And straightened:
I love the way it looks short but I'm letting it grow out a little (past my shoulders) because:
1) It drives me batty not to be able to pull it back
2) My fiancé likes it longer and since he's adorably sweet, I don't mind accommodating him |

Vonstella, I love your hair! Too cute.
I have 2 tats but they don't often show up in pics because one's on the back of my neck and the other's on the 1/3 lower part of my back! They are tribal like yours, though. |

Vonstella,
Oooooh I love your haircut, it's really flattering on you. You're lucky you can have a short haircut and have it look good.
This is the most recent pic, I just blew it out for the wedding, I usually wear it naturally which is wavy/curly, just dont have any decent pics of that though.

My hair is near bra-strap length and curly. My favorite way to wear it is in a half-up style, clipped back with a small barrette - that gets it off my face but still shows the length and my curls. On bad hair days, it's either a ponytail, bun or twist of some sort. |

I normally wear mine on my head....
Actually, mine is just beyond shoulder length right now, long layers, tapered to the front with long choppy bangs.
Rach - can't see your pic.
Scalawaggirl - work it girl! you look awesome as does Studly in the chair with you. Had you noticed you had matching hair styles in the pic? which I found adorable BTW.
Aries - You look FAB - quite stunning actually. |

Thanks! I'm still surprised how lucky I am to find a great guy who's so damn cute, too. His personality is like mine, a clown, and he makes me laugh all the time.

Thanks, girl. I hadn't thought of the fact tha t we had matching hair styles. How funny! His hair is like mine, though, lots of waves so it stands to reason.
Aries, I was finally able to see your pic and you're just lovely! |

Nice pictures.
I don't have much time in the morning to work on my hair because I have to go to work.
I have long permed hair and I have to have bans otherwise I would feel so uncomfortable with my look. |

I have very long thick and slightly wavy hair and usually wear it in an updo or in a braided style.
I'm always interested in learning new styles and techniques.
I don't wear it loose a lot because it tangles too much. |

I have scary, wild, blonde, long curly hair. It just kind of does what it wants, when it wants. I have absolutely no say in the matter whatsoever. |

now i'm usually wearing my hair in a ponytail..i've been losing quite a bit of hair and not sure whether it's to do with the weather or stress or some products that i'm using
if i remember correctly (i could be wrong though..), someone mentioned in another thread that she's experience hair loss after using some dr h's product
i've been using dr h's body oil and starting to wonder if it has any thing to do with my hair loss
i don't wanna go bald =< |

I have long, straight black hair with natural brownish-reddish highlights and long bangs that I push to the side. It's a cute, easy way to update the long hair look and best of all, the bangs can vanish with a few hair pins or barettes. |
