It's happening again we've got another Parsleythyme and now they're in Product Reviews. Just to let you know I've reported them. |

Oh my! She only joined yesterday, and is already a Senior Member!
She is abusing and taking advantage of the forum, EDS and other forum members! |

Actually if you look at their history they did over 50 posts and became a senior member in their first hour of joining! Perhaps EDS should put a warning about this kind of thing on the page when they register. Could be that they think it's a free-for-all, totally acceptable and no bother to anyone. |

Thank you Molly and Milodomi. It's been dealt with and I've cleaned up the aftermath. We'll have to do something about this. Maybe a 2-month waiting period for the discount to kick in regardless of number of pots? |

Thanks Mabsy, I saw you'd come to the rescue.
Maybe it would even be as simple as a gentle warning when they register that they can be banned for abusing the privilege. I get the feeling that they can't have realised, but maybe there is a warning already. |

Thanks Molly - I'll suggest this to EDS. I don't think there is a warning at the moment.
Also, sorry for the delay in cleaning this up. I've had a work week from hell and have been going through EDS withdrawal symptoms as a result I couldn't log in since Tuesday! |

Why are you so mean though? I spent hours on the forum going through the topics and had fun with it and replied to the ones that I had opinions on. Which message did you mean was meaningless? |

nearly all of them actually, but especially the one saying 'Good luck' when someone's dog had died. |

Molly, you beat me...
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Darlin', it didn't take you 'hours' to make all your posts.. More like an hour or so of meaningless, posts, {to apparently jack up your #'s for a discount }and one that was VERY hurtful to another forum member... And from the posts I read, you didn't give opinions, just made posts of nonsense, that honestly people don't want to read..
We come here to learn and actually try to help others or ask for honest to goodness help.. Not have our time wasted by reading nonsense or looking at an icon... |
That one I'd agree was a mistake. I was reading another one at the same time.
However, I posted another one right after that to correct it.
It's still not fair to have 99% of my postings deleted. I did spent hours go though all those topics. |
90% of them said no more than 'thank you' or 'I do' and considering you did over 50 posts in 60 minutes there can't have been much reading going on so I'm doubting your interest.
You shuffle all the interesting current topics around and emails are automatically sent out to everyone who's interested in the topic to visit the site. They come and look and what do they see - nothing.
I don't find your new posts genuine and you post to yourself on all of them.
When you join a new forum with regular users. It's actually courteous to look around and read a little before you post to find out what kind of place it is and what kind of things to ask about. Your questions (on retin A for example) have been answered on the forum many times before - you just can't be bothered to read anything.
People, I notice, are still answering you, which is very kind of them.
We like new users, but not ones who seem to just dominate the entire board immediately with nothing to say.
We're here too - show a little courtesy. |
Thanks for the explanation!
I am sorry that I've jammed your mailbox. I will try to post less in the future.
However, the reason I posted those "thank you","that was fun" messages is because I saw a lot of other people were doing that too. And I didn't think about the consequences.
Sorry about that again. |
Hi xzou
OK, so maybe you didn't realise what you were doing - I did suggest that in my post above to Mabsy. I do notice others are doing the same, especially in the lounge, though a lot less than you and that might have given you the impression that it's fine.
Yes, a little moderation would be good.
So, let's leave it at that.
Happy posting.
Molly
p.s. I don't think people are quite so bothered about it in the lounge where it's very light-hearted, but when you moved onto the Product section, which is more interesting and involved and a lot of people follow threads I reported you. We had someone completely mess up the Product Reviews and the Skincare forum like that a little while ago and it was annoying. |
well..ppl always have explanations/excuses to why they've done what they did
everyone has the right to post in the forum, but ppl can tell whether it took u seconds to post "response" or u actually really have something to say
posting response to ur own thread is really a bit too much..
anyway, happy posting and hopefully we'll see more genuine response |
Well, milodomi. It looks like you have had a lot of posts 268 too being a member for just a month. I stayed up very late passed 1 or 2am last night and I was a kind of light headed when browsing through the forum. The reason I posted to my own questions was just because I forgot to mention something I had I my post and I don't see any option for editing.
Anyway, it doesn't feel good to be accused by others (if you ever been). I've been feeling depressed for the past few hours and I hope that I still can get some sleep tonight. Maybe I should just stay out of this forum. |
It's your choice Xzou.
BTW, dont insult Milodomi, she collected her 250something posts within 34 days - and not within few hours the first day, with saying practically nothing (like you i.e. in one of the discussion about an Eyelash tint kit or conditioner : you didn't even bother to read the whole thread when you posted "what's that?"). And i could go on with posts like that from you ...
In ususal i use the function "view posts since last visit" and yesterday after turning on my laptop the list was full with 52 absolutely meaningless posts from you - clearly, i wasn't amused ! you know this is a nice little community here, trying to help each other the best we can. it's difficult to take somebody seriously after behaving like that... |
yes xzou, i've got my 260+ posts and achieved my senior member status IN A MONTH'S TIME..but i didn't post over 50+ reponse in practically less than a day and if u check my posts, most of them r meaningful..by that, i mean i actually had something to say or had an actual review or opinion
sorry if u feel depressed since i'm sure i'm feeling much worse than u..this is just a forum and it's not meant to be a place where ppl should feel that they've been insulted |
Aw, don't be so hurt by strangers on the internet!
I joined over the summer and asked a lot of questions that were pretty redundant that I'm sure annoyed people. This is the first forum I've joined, so I didn't really know about "etiquette". Recently someone joined and was endlessly posting to up their discount, so when you comment that it isn't fair that your posts were deleted, it does seem like that's why you posted so often. If that's not the case, then don't worry about it; no one's trying to be mean on a skincare forum. =) |
