Hello everyone!
i know we've all heard it before... how cover models are so nipped and tucked and brightened by photoshop!
so here is a website developed through a project of the Swedish government (no idea why they would engage in such a project) to show just how retouched these photos are!
demo.fb.se/e/girlpower/retouch/retouch (you'll need to copy and paste into your browser)
bottom line... they're not perfect! and this just really reinforces to me how misleading these images are and how ridiculous it is that *we* all try to hold ourselves to this standard... it's unrealistic because it's fake!!!
enjoy everyone! and don't forget to celebrate your own unique inner and outer beauty!
take care!

I think that's a cool sight and have known about the trickery for awhile. I never compare myself to famous or other people but try to see the beauty in each of us, myself included.
My obsession is improving on what I have, which has turned into quite the satisfying hobby! |

Thanks for sharing!
I'm horrible when it comes to comparing myself to others (especially models/celebrities). I can point out something "better" than me in almost every photo... Next time I think that I'll remind myself of this! |

Thanks for that. I've seen similar things before but not with the detailed breakdown. I thought she looked better before, too. It is definitely something to bear in mind for days when you're really down on yourself about hair, skin, weight. |
