| I usually use glycolic for my weekly peel (50%). Last time I did 15% Salicylic for 5 min. and then glycolic for a few minutes. REALLY burned and turned RED, worse than TCA. Nevertheless, I was glad with the fair amount of peeling because with glycolic alone I don't peel at all. Anyway, I've heard great things about Jessners and really want to try it. Those who have tried it say you need more downtime than with TCA. I've also heard that acne cleared up and did not return after a Jessner peel (and this from two people). So, has anyone here had experience with it? |

Oh my -- you left a 15% SA peel on for 5 minutes?! I wouldn't have had a face left
Anyway, I don't have any personal experience, but you may want to take a look at the chemical peel board at makemeheal.com. It does sound like quite the recovery process, which is not to say that I haven't been tempted to ask my derm about having one.
As for doing a Jessner's at home, I think that people generally do not do the peels themselves, at least the first time. |
