I was wondering what everyone is doing to care for their neck and chest area's. I use regular cleanser and the same sunblock that I use on my face but, Im looking for a gentle exfoliant. Everyone I have tried on my chest leaves it red and Im pretty sure that they do more harm than good. Also does anyone use a mask of any kind on their chest? TIA! |

Hey, girl. I use a gentle cleanser for my chest (Gentle Clean right now) in the shower. For exfoliation, I use a shower brush on my back and lightly on my chest. I also will occasionally use Exfol but only, if it looks to need it.
My neck is cleansed as my face, Vitamin C and sunblock, etc. I exfoliate it with Exfol (AM) and LacSal (PM). For the decollétage, I am using the LacSal (SkinBio test product) with nice results. Dry brushing also helps with this immensely but I use a lighter touch here on all of these areas.

Do you need to wear sunscreen on your upper chest if it is covered by fabric? |

I do on my chest and sholders, b/c if the fabric is not really tightly woven the sun's rays can still penetrate thru to your skin. |

scalawaggirl, Thanks for the info, Ive been dry brushing for about 3 days now and can already tell a huge difference as far as my skintone evening out and softness, I take extra care when going over these area's too! Im actually rather shocked that something that is so relaxing and invigorating at the same time is so effective this quickly! |

Yeah! Tell me about it; amazing, isn't it? I give it credit for absolutely zero thick skinned areas (even my feet for goodness sake!) and also that my skin is so nice and soft and tight to boot. This with everything else, is a real fantastic habit to have. Glad you're seeing results; that is always satisfying! |

Currently, I'm using Murad's Energizing Pomegranate Body Polish and it does very well with gently exfoliating. I'm just hoping to find a more natural skin care line for me...still exploring. Murad doesn't test on animals tho. |

Hello,
Fans of dry brushing, what brush can you recommend? I have seen some of these around but have no clue about a good one to try. Sounds lovely.
Thanks!

Thanks for the recommendation. I think I will give it a shot. °Ü° --That definitely would be more natural & no animal testing...other than on myself. lol |

Yeah, BTW...what she said and asked. What's the best way of going about dry brushing? a loofa? special sponge? or an actual brush of some kind?
Many Thanks! |

Is this just for body brushing or do some people brush their faces as well?

I like dry brushing but I've also been using DDF 12.5% glycolic lotion most nights and I really like what it has done. (spots gone and skin tighter). It is also very reasonably priced in EDS. |

Sharky, you mean for specific body areas? That's great to know, if so as I've an area above the girls that I am alway interesting in keeping nice and tight looking. This sounds like it would be a good match for the skin brushing! |

Whatever my face sunscreen is, I use it on my neck. On my chest, I tend to use unloved s/s products that irritated my face, made it too oily, etc. For exfoliation, whatever works for my face I use on my neck and chest. |
