Hi,

On the outsides of my mouth, where my lips meet at the sides, I have extreme dry red patches which won't go away...
Does anyone know anything that would help with this, something that won't break me out.

I'm currently using Dremu (emu) Oil, but this is not working.

TIA!

My ex boyfriend used to have this problem, the corners of his mouth would sometimes get very dry, red and cracked. I think he ended up getting a cream made up from a Chinese Medicine Practioner.

I think i've heard somewhere that this problme can be caused by a deficiency of some sort, sorry I can't remember at the moment!

I'm not sure if we have the same problem, but I've tried Valmont DNA Repair Serum and it helps the dry patches around my mouth (not on the lips). here's some info of the product:

When the integrity of the epidermis is threatened, DNA REPAIR SERUM targets fragile zones and rebuilds cutaneous defenses, working to compensate for skin damages.

HP DNA and RNA are combined with Echinacea repair liposomes and mimetic biopeptides of dermis proteins to:
relaunch the essential functions of the skin,
stimulate the repair of damaged tissues,
re-equip exhausted skins to combat the rays of following day more serenely.

Oh wow! This product sounds perfect!! I really think that my skin in these areas is damaged and needs to be re-built or something...

Thanks, this is really interesting. I have a Chinese Medicine doctor that I get acupuncture from... Next time I am there I will ask him about it!

Lucinda, it looks like you have vitamin deficiency, especially vit B2 (riboflavin) and B6 (pyridoxine). So, maybe you have to increase your vitamin intake or change your diet. Wink

Ugh, I've had the same problem for a week or so. I'm going to try to go see the Dr. about it next week, so I'll let you know what I hear.
