Hi all!

Is there a moisturizer with SPF protectiont that is not oily and does not cause acne?

I'm using the Gly Derm lotion 10 at night, Vitamin C serum in the morning and Dermalogica Oil control lotion for moisturiser. I like the Oil Control lotion because it does blot the oil and it has salicytic acid to help prevent breakouts (if only this has a SPF 15 protection and I'll be set!). I know I need some sun protection if I'm using Gly Derm, but from experience, anything that has a sun block in it will show an oily shine on my face and cause my skin to break out ... Sad Does anybody know of a light moisturiser that controls oil (like the Dermalogica Oil Control Lotion), has a SPF protection, can prevent acne and does not cause shine ??? Please help, I'm desperate.

Thanks so much,
Pooh bear

Hi, I have oily skin which is acne prone but controlled, and i have used a few sunscreen lotions which are very oily and result in breakout such as anthelios. Now i have started using Phtotderm Max which is a non oily sunscreen with SPF 100, which might be too high for you, but since i am fair skinned (freckled) and live in a very hot sunny island this is perfect for me, so i am not sure what exactly you are after but this definitely does not leave an oily shine after once applied and is perfecft for acne prone skin.
Also I do know that dermalogica make one with SPF 25 which is ultra sensitive and is not supposed to be oily so you could check that out as well.

pooh bear, you may want to try SkinCeuticals SPF20. It is not perfectly matte but it is not oily. Another one that is very nice is Dr. Denese SPF20 on qvc.com. If you are fair to medium complected this is nice because it is tinted. Both have zinc oxide which my sensitive skin loves.

Pooh Bear, my 2 cents would be:
New Dermalogica Sheer Moisture SPF15- it comes in 3 different shades or you can choose just Sheer. This would be my first choice. Another option would be:
Peter Thomas Roth Ultra-Lite Titanium Dioxide Sunblock SPF30. This is only a sunblock though, not a moisturizer. What I like about it is that it is very light, oil-free, and contains titanium dioxide and zinc oxide which are best natural physical Sunblocks. After application it will not leave white film on your skin.

Valmont also makes great light moisturizers for all skin types , even most sensitive. They also contain titanium dioxide. I would look at Valmont Time Perfection and Valmont Priority Cream. Time Perfection has a light tint.

Pooh Bear,

I'm currently using the Dermalogica Sheer Tint Moisture (in light) and I like it. I have normal/combo skin and I don't find it oily. It doesn't leave a white cast on your face and the shade I chose evens out my skintone (I'm not using foundation at the moment). I really like the lavender fragrance to it too! Smile
