Has anyone followed the whole Skin Medica routine:
AM - TNS, Vit C, moisturizer
PM - TNS, retinol, moisturizer
What were your results?
Did you add other products or other brands of vitamin c,retinol etc?
I am looking for an effective anti-aging routine and this is one I am considering but wondering if I should or could add in some other things like Skinceuticals B5 and/or Phyto+? If you did, where do you add them in?
thanks. |

hi,
i use some of the Skinmedica products, though not the whole regime.
I love their VitC Complex - i couldn't cope with the VitC from Skinceuticals and IS Clinical, so i'm really happy i found this one.
a.m.: i put on the VitC complex and then the Rejuvenative Moisturizer (now i'm changing to the Dermal Repair, due to the autumn weather: i need a rich cream now). I like them both very much : they sink in nicely, feels comfortable, moisture the whole day (of course without irritation)
P.M. i use another products (cleanser + Remergent).
I like Skinmedica very much and am considering to try their eye products as well. |

I did use TNS, Cellex-C and hydracool in the morning. I then switched to Proheal after the TNS in the a.m., followed by hydracool or an extra moisturiser. I also used TNS at night. After 3 months use of TNS I did not repurchase. I felt the IS Clinical did more for my skin than the TNS, in my honest opinion. |

I've been trying ISC for months - it made my skin really bad (pimples permanently).
Hydracool : i hated it
Active s. - i guess, the SA in it was the reason for my pimples, actually
Super serum : no results really
Eye cream : nothing
With the fluid VitC i've never known if i put on enough (or too little), the Skinmedica's VitC is rather of a gel-texture, so i can spread it nicely.
I don't really understand : in your first email you wrote, you're considering to use TNS in the future - now in the second one you say you used it before and are not going to repurchase ? ! |

lin23 - that was Annie that said she wouldn't repurchase the TNS.
Please keep the comments coming.
I had a sample of the dermal repair and liked that. Glad to hear many like their Vitamin C.
Does the TNS have a bad smell? I thought I heard they changed this and added some fragrance or maybe just a masking fragrance.
Thanks. |

Sorry Marie, i was confused.
No, TNS has no unpleasant smell (or probably i had the new version already). It's a rather chemical smell. Dermal Repair and Rejuvenative have a ight scent. |

Thanks Lin23! Did you see any improvements in your skin from the Skin Medica TNS etc? |

Did the smell go away or linger?
Has anyone had good results from using these products esp the TNS? |

The smell goes away pretty quickly. I didn't think it worked better that my IS Clinical. |

I didn't think the TNS did anything at all for my skin, though it didn't make it any worse. |

Marie, I only had a sample of the TNS Recovery Complex so i didn't use it long enough to tell you something more in particular. To tell you the truth : i was a bit afraid of all those growth factors ...
I only use the VitC + Derma repair combo, which is nice, non irritating, feels pleasant.
My skin cannot stand major layering (causes break out) so i need to get in everything with max. two layers (to be honest : in the morning rush i wouldn't have time to too much layering either...) |

lin23 - thanks. I agree with the morning routine that I will need to keep it simple since I don't have that much time. I am still experimenting with layering so I will have to see how my skin handles that. I'm sure there are more products that have multiple "good" things in them that might cut down on the need to layer. Although finding that product and not being too $$$ is another factor. I am so new here and have much to learn.
I did buy the TNS on Friday and am trying it - on half my face and sticking with the Skin Ceutical samples the esthitician gave me on the other side. For now I will try the TNS twice a day but waiting for samples of Remergent DNA Repair and will then switch to that at night. The TNS does have a strong, icky smell which does go away but not quick enough. Unless it does something miraculous, I won't buy it again for that reason. I do prefer the SM Vitamin C to the Skin Ceuticals C E Ferulic sample and I like the SM Dermal Repair.
She also gave me the SC Phyto+ and B5. I like them but they don't seem to last long so I think these liquids would be expensive to use. And not sure that I need the Phyto+. The Skinceutical moisturizers are OK but nothing special.
felinehhy - I don't know the term either but I know exactly what you meant when you are talking about the balling. I haven't run into that with this. My skin is dry though but have other times. |
