I had a facial about 3 weeks ago and they use the Jan Marini products so I bought the Biogygolic Cleanser the bio clear cream and Vit C Serum. Don't ask me why you get caught up in the moment. Anyway my skin is normal w/some sme damage and normal pores. I HATE THE STUFF. It burns and made my face feel like crap. I brought it back and they said "OH that means its working it's the best in the world" So I tried it again for a few days same thing. Back it went. She was so rude that she took it back and said she would credit my charge acct the # is on file but was to busy to do it then. She said I was the only one that did not like this line. And I said well some people like coffee and I like tea. How long should I give for the credit and what do people think about this line. Sorry for being so long needed to vent. |

Sounds like she didn't want to rebate her commission. Clearly your skin was reacting to the products and you did the right thing buy returning what was irritating your skin. And for the record, after her response I wouldn’t do business with the spa/salon again. |

Even though I, personally, love the JM Bioglycolic line, I agree with Barbara and would never return to that salon.
My good friend is an esthetician who sells JM and she rarely will sell the Bioglycolic products to anybody who hasn't tried it first...she's the first to admit that returned product is a bummer financially. She recognizes that the products are expensive and, therefore, is very generous with samples.
Sorry you had such a bad experience.

Also -- to answer your question...
I would wait a max of 48 hours for her to issue the credit. If nothing happens, dispute the charge with your credit card company.

I would call the manager and check if the credit was put through. I really appreciate a business that treats you just as nice when you return than when you buy.
I wanted to try Jan Marini and ordered the Age Intrvention Kit. THe AI cream was all dried up and had crystals on top. I contacted the place I ordered it from and they were very nice about doing the return. They said they often had trouble with the quality of Jan Marini products. For that reason I decided against trying this line even though it seemed like a good option for me and not as expensive as others. |

I appreciate the response-I have normal somewhat sensitive skin and I just think the acid was to much for my skin. I have been reading that its more for oil skin or acne? I may be wrong. She is the owner so I will give it until Tues then call Visa. |

Good for you redhead! Interesting feedback about QC (quality control), ehh? I have the eyelash serum and frankly won't be without the product~it is that good(effective).

I'm trying the eyelash product right now too. It has only been about 5 weeks so no results that I can tell so far. I was surprised when they made that comment about their QC but because I had a bad patch, it was more believeable. I still might try again in the future. |

I like the JM products that I have tried, but I would not be willing to take that treatment from the SA. She was just rude.
Re: bioglycolic cream - I found it to be a bit heavy and even on my skin, which is used to AHAs, it did sting a little, still I did like it in the end but probably not enough to repurchase (didn't like the texture). I think the SA, is she knew what she was doing, should have advised you when you bought the items to start out slow since you bought two items high in AHAs and a C serum as well (your skin may need time to adjust to each of those, let alone all three). Needless to say, I would not be going back to that SA and would also call up and check that the credit has been processed. |
