Bbiz,
The only thing that I have tried is the Kiss Me lip balm. Not a big fan....

The philosophy skincare line interests me basically b/c of its name and its packaging! The name is simple yet sounds like "sophisticated", and the packaging shares the same characteristics too .. I just felt that they might be really preaching a new skincare philosophy that actually works .. hehe.. I never tried that though!!
I almost bought that stuffs at QVC out of impluse coz they were on sale!!! it was like more than 50% off as compared with the retail price!! Lucky that I didnt eventually .. I knew that I should I logon to this forum to seek for opinions before my impluse took over me .. Thanks a lot!! |

Well, some people swear by this lip balm but I have found it to be an overpriced pink vaseline with a strong fake lemon smell. And I paid full price too!
I must admit though, I do like the names that Philosophy has for its products. Very inventive!

bbiz, I have tried the chocolate cookie body wash (yum, smells just like the real thing. mmmm.), and a sample of hope in a bottle moisturizer. I think I thought it was ok (it's been a couple of years, at least, since I've tried it). Seeing that I never repurchased, I'm guessing it didn't wow me. HTH |

Mabsy, speaking of pink vaseline, remember the Smith's rosebud salve we tried? I still have that yucky little pot. LOL! :P |

I've used a couple of sets from the range, namely the exfoliating and vitamin C products. In a word, useless!!!! They really irritated my skin, didn't penetrate just sat on the surface, reminded me of the cheap products I'd used many years ago, I really wanted to like this range but didn't. It's not cheap and it doesn't live up to the price tag. Nice packaging shame about the contents. On a positive note I use the amazing grace perfume all the time which is just beautiful, it also has a matching body lotion, not a great moisturiser but it smells divine. I'd save your money with regards the skincare. In my humble opinion it's all a bit gimmicky. |

I have mine too! But I use it on my nails (it's pretty good for that!) and elbows etc. I'm determined to use it up instead of chucking it. Looking at the tin though it will last AGES!

Mabsy and Thoughtcrime,
Ditto on the Rosebud Salve... I read in so many magazines how great this was and when I got it, what a disappointment! I have the entire tin in my drawer and will not throw it away because it would be a waste. Thanks for the tip on the cuticle and elbow.
About Philosophy products, I think they are overrated. The packaging, presentation and idea of it is wonderful but I have yet to find a product I like so far.
I have used the Hope in a Jar and one of their kits.. I think resurfacing kit if anyone is interested. |
