What is the texture of these eyelash treatments, such as Jan Marini Eyelash Intervention, and others?

At present, I am using Ecrinal eyelash treatment, (it's only been a month - seems OK but needs more time) I just don't like the texture - it's really oily and bothers my eyes.

Are all eyelash treatments/growth accelorators oily (I know that a lot of them have castor oil as a main ingredient)?

Any on the market that are not?

Thanks

The Ardells isn't oily at all - more like a gel, if anything. I also find the Lucia Essence to be more watery than oily.

Yes, the Ardell is like a gel. Lucia is very watery. Talika Lipocils was also kind of watery and Mavala Double Lash is sorta like the Ardell in terms of texture.

Jan marini is a very watery but still somewhat gel-like substance.

I think that the active ingredient (s) is similar in most lash treatments. Castor oil should be first or second on the list of ingredients.

If you find it is somehow getting into your eyes I would apply not as close to the base of the eyes.

I use Ecrinal and it works. (I can't find Ardell here.) I use it only at night and be sure to leave a little space so it does not "travel" into eyes.

Thanks for your replies majorb, Nijey, dealated, and autumn Wink!

I'll continue to use Ecrinal for the suggested time period - 2 to 3 months nightly, and hopfully see some good results!

Autumn, thanks for your suggestion.
How long have you used Ecrinal, and how drastic have your results been?

Rimi:

I have been using the Ecrinal for at least a few months.

My lashes are rather long but VERY BLONDE. I get them tinted. I find when I use the Ecrinal my tint lasts longer, my lashes don't seem as brittle. They use to break off (and I would have some short pieces sticking out.) I can't really say it has made my lashes grow as in more lashes or longer.

But this is an item I can pick up at SDM for about $21.00 and it lasts three months. I try to remember to use nightly but I probably use it about 3 - 5 times in a week.

FYI - for those concerned about such things, "Ecrinal" is the polite name for horse mane tissue extract. Yes, they "harvest" it from dead horses, although presumably they were already going to be slaughtered to glue or dogfood and weren't actually targeted specifically for our hair and eyelash vanities....
