I'm on a quest for a tinted lip balm that offers some mineral sun protection, (preferably zinc oxide and paraben free). I know that it won't be a high ppd or offer great protection, but i'm not in the sun for my than 10 minutes a day and i'd really like something more natural because I have a tendency to lick my lips. But I'm tired of my white lips from my burt's bees zinc lip balm, so if I could find a tinted one that would be great! The closest I've come to is the juice beauty tinted balm, but I don't know how sun stable the active ingredients are.:
octinoxate, oxybenzone, titanium dioxide.
does anybody have any recs or know if this one is stable?

I have not tried the skinceuticals lip balm you're referring to, but a few months ago, i was in the same position as you--trying to find a lip balm with a natural spf. i must warn you if you've run across the badger lip balm spf 15, to stay away from it! though all natural, it makes lips chalk white. After trying to find a decent lip balm with a natural spf, i just gave up and am using trader joe's lip balm with spf 15, shiseido water in lip spf 12, and un-petroleum spf 15 lip balm. i don't believe any of these offer a mineral spf. you might want to try making your own maybe--i have seen recipes where you just add titanium dioxide yourself. |

| Jane Iredale has a lipbalm that uses zinc oxide. EDS has it but the description might be outdated because MUA reviews and the Jane Iredale website specifies it uses zinc oxide, while the EDS description still says it uses chemicals as its active ingredients. I actually have it in my cart as my next purchase. |
