Can someone explain the differences between these 2 products? From what I've read:

Acnederm - 20% azelaic acid
Finacea - 15% azelaic acid

Which is offered in Canada by prescription?

I also heard that the ingredients in Acnederm are very comedogenic..is this true? Would Finacea be a better option?

Any further info. would be appreciated. I really want to fade some stubborn dark red marks and I've heard that azelaic acid is great for this.

I don't have any experience with acnederm, however, I LOVE finecea and plan to use it for life. Not only does it help fade red marks in a big way, it also helps with acne, inflammation, general skin tone, etc. It can be a bit drying at first, but I've been using it with Zenbiotic products which miraculously balanced my skin, so I haven't had any problems. I don't know if it's available in Canada, but if it is I recommend it 100%.

I cannot compare the two products but can say that I use Acnederm (inhousepharmacy.com)and have had no problems with it being comedogenic. Some say this about Retin-A in the cream base as well. I use this too and no problems with breakouts. I am a combo skin with occasional time of the month breakouts, mostly cystic acne. The acnederm has helped to control these and haven't had a cyst (chin area each time)since starting to use it. It's been about 2 months now.
