What wil they give you that the lightstim wont, chinachatters?[/quote]

I was looking at head size, thinking it would more like the lasers that zap things like spider veins and keratoses, whereas the lightstim is more like the infrared skin rejuvenators that tighten and stimulate collagen. Both lightstim and the little lasers use near infrared light, though. So now I'm trying to figure out the difference between laser and LED for delivering the same light.

RUFUS, also do you use it after you clean your face, and then put on the cream? How far away do you hold it from your face?

I use it at night after cleaning my face. I put on some eye serum and use the Lightstim before using any acne products. I have the Lightstim just barely touching my face.

I will try to be more diligent about using it every night, too, then. I seriously was going to return it. I still have some time before their 90-day $ back guarantee expires. I'll give it one more shot.

Thanks!

So the zapper is a different power level.. do you know what, exactly?

No. I didn't think to compare the power levels.

What I did find out, though, on a site about laser vs. LED acupuncture (!) is that the laser is organized light and the LED is unorganized light. Example was a regular flashlight beam on a wall vs. a laser pointer beam on a wall. Apparently both kinds do good and the way I imagined: the wider spread does the toning and the narrow one goes a little deeper to take care of spot problems.

I ordered the Buerer laser early this morning after doing a lot of reading. I'll use it and also use my LightStim (which I love). AFter three weeks of light stim I can see that my face is firm than before.

I still have more reading: this is my search page from google -

Someone just posted about another LED therapy device that you don't have to hold. You sit in front of it for 9 minutes and you're done. I might try that one.

Hi Everyone,
I am new to this forum. I have been reading this forum about lightstim for the last two and a half months. I purchased a lightstim right before Christmas. I have a lot of problems with my face (blotchy, sundamaged, some acne scars), but the changes are gradual. So, you who are considering returning the lightstim give it some time. I looked on their (lightstim) website and they have put more info and videos that you may want to take a look at. I think, if a person is looking for immediate results, be patient. I might be wrong since I have only used it for almost two months, but I am like everyone else I want instant results. In my case, I think it will take time. There is a video with a gal before and after and it took a year. Hey, I enjoy all your info. I am sorry, I got a bit lengthly.

I got the Lightstim because I tend to not need much medication to get results so I figured that I'd be the same with one of LED light products. What I've noticed the most is the slow improvement of my acne. Breakouts aren't lasting as long and are healing faster.

I think I have pretty quickly got used to feeling younger and prettier. The Lightstim really works for me, bigtime. It also worked quickly for me.. I think I have a rapid response to things, usually, though.

Hey Rufus and Catski,

Thanks for the encouragement in using the lightstim. I had used a product from an informercial that really messed my face up big time. I was not a happy camper. So, I realize that lightstim will be a slow and gradual process. I am seeing results, but, of course, not fast enough.

Do you remember the name of the product you used that messed up your face?

Hey Frodo,

Yes, I do remember the product I used. It was called "Youthful Essence." You used a hand held gadget that had a type of brush on it and another not a brush, but a pad. You used a moisturizer that had beads in it. I used it according to the directions and it put more scars in my face. I was upset! The company was nice enough and refunded my money. Even though, I told them it would cost more to fix. I guess you live and learn. I was about to go to a plastic surgeon and do the photo rejuvination, when I came across lightstim. That is why I feel the results from lightstim will probably take awhile. I am willing to hang in there, and hoping it corrects my skin problems. I have though, seen a chemical peel by Skin Culture. Does anyone know anything or had any luck with it?

I'm still using and loving my LightStim and will continue. I like the tightening I get. My doc told me her IR would actually melt fat and shrink skin. If that's the truth about IR, then I'm well on my way.

The Buerer Soft Laser arrived today. The batteries have to be charged for six hours before I can use it. The video says I'll see results in five days. I'll be using it on places I think need concentrated light in conjunction with the Light Stim.

The woman on the Soft Laser video has oily, somewhat congested skin like mine. 8-) Still I have high hopes of peaches and cream by this time next month. I'll let you know in five days what the visible changes are.

I just put a lengthy comparison of my new Buerer SoftLaser and my older LightStim in the product review section of the forum.

In short, I adore both of them. I know how professional infrared and laser treatments feel and how my skin feels after having them. Both my at home machines produce the same feeling, so if the professional treatments do what they say the will - then my machines must be doing the same things.

I continue to use my lightstim. And I love it. I like how my skin feels.

In the past 2 weeks, I've received 2 un-asked for comments on my skin. Someone asked me what kind of vitamins I was taking to make my skin look so good.

Yesterday, Feb 14, A worker at Sally Beauty supply asked me, what I was using on my face. Let her know and she will get it too? OH my.

Well to say the least, that has made me even more gung ho. I look at my face and say "I can't tell what they are seeing, because I still see little spot here, but I can say, I do have a major difference in my skin tone, my skin is MUCH plumper, and lines seems like they are slowly going away, (at least they are going away). I've used the LS for about 3-4 months. And I love it ! ! !

My skin is thicker, creamier feeling, plumper. Redness is less. Now to lose weight.

Hey Everyone,

I just got an e-mail from lightstim and they are having a sale thru February 16, if anyone is interested. I thought I would pass the info along so you can tell your friends.

TamaraT, your face must be looking good if people are noticing. Congrats! Keep the light a burning! It sure makes you feel good when somebody notices, doesn't it?
