Hello everyone, haven't been around in quite a while, life has been nuts. Anyway, the older I get (57!), the drier my skin gets and especially in winter. I'm trying to update accordingly and would love sugestions for a nighttime eye cream that doesn't leave my eyes puffy in the a.m. and a general night cream. I still love Dr. Hauschka Rose Day cream for under makeup. Thanks for any suggestions. Good to be back. |

Hi
I've always found that Skinbio's P&R3 (copper peptides and a little bit of Retinyl Palmitate) helps my skin to produce more oil when either my skin's dry or I'm in a harsh, cold, dry climate.
I've returned to this for years now during dry spells.

Hi nanapost, jojoba oil and emu oil both seemed to cause me a bit of millia under my eyes, so I can't wait to see the responses to your post. Hope you find something that works for you! |

I've really been loving In Fiore's face balm concentre. Really moisturizing, and a great make-up base as well. Smells devine! Around the eyes I've been trying out Kiehl's creamy avocado eye treatment - extremely hydrating as well. I also think one of the keys to dry skin is a cream based cleanser. |

I use Capture Totale by Dior in Winter and they also have a serum if skin is really dry does everything from lifting to reducing sun spots etc. and at night use sculpt 10 eye cream as it does not cause puffiness and the capture r60/80 anti wrinkle eye cream during the day. They work for me as I will not give my age away but its a long time since I was forty!!! I used my real name in this forum and cannot get out of it now but what they hell I will not be giving any secrets away only beauty ones. Have great skin for my age. |

I use DHC Concentrated eye cream every night. It's very emollient, not greasy, and I've never woken up with puffy eyes (well, except when I only get four hours of sleep). It's not an anti-wrinkle cream, though, it's mostly for keeping the eye area moisturized, which it really does. It's fragrance free and you can get it for only $29. A steal, I think. |

Lola, are all the products you use by Dior? I'm tempted to try some of your suggestions first as we know the special( ) needs of "mature" skin. Thanks everyone for your suggestions. As always, lots of help! |

You might want to check out the Remergent line. I got samples and ordered the Barrier Repair and DNA Repair. I loved the samples and just got my full size Barrier Repair (DNA Repair on back order). If you check the description of this product it sounds like it might be what you ae looking for:

I have mature, sensitive skin (live in Wisconsin) and an esthitician gave me samples of Skinceuticals to try. My skin was irritated and dry the day the Remergent samples arrived but felt great when I used the DNA Repair and Barrier Repair. I gave up on the Skinceuticals and for now am using the following moisturizers:
Barrier Repair (PM)
Kinerase Cream (AM)
Skin Medica Dermal Repair - using before Barrier Repair arrived but like this one too (lots of nice ingredients).
My skin looks better and is much softer and not irritated. |

I second the Skinmedica Dermal Repair. My derm gave me a sample to use for emergency dehydration. It works wonders and I don't have to use it very often. |

Thumbs up for the Skinceuticals hydrating B5 gel! Elizabeth Grant serums are very good as well. At this time of the year, skin needs 24 hr hydration. |
