I never heard that before but I don't drink cow milk anymore. I found it to make me feel ill and make my pms worse.
I drink goat milk. |

Milk can affect acne if you have an allergy or sensitivity to it and/or if you have an intolerance to lactose. I for one love milk and can't live without it although you may want to consider switching to organic milk. Sometimes the reactions caused by drinking standard milk is mostly from the amount of steroids, hormones and other contaminants found in the milk and not the milk itself. I found that when I switched to organic milk not only was I able to digest it better but the taste was so much better, not to mention I was protecting myself from all the crap found in other milk. |

I have an allergy to milk/dairy and the number one symptom for me is acne. The moment I have anything with milk/cheese/yogurt in it I break out. |

Milk can certainly cause acne, but it isn;t necessarily causing yours, so not drinking it may not have an effect on your skin. Some are allergic to the lactose, I've heard that the high iodine levels cause acne in some, and the hormones in inorganic milk may also cause acne. |

1) don't drink too much milk; 2) switch to organic milk; 3) drink yogurt instead. |

Yes, dairy can break you out. I recently found out that dairy was a culprit to my breakouts. It either causes a new breakout or causes the breakouts that I already have to become more inflammed.
I highly recommend doing a Brown Rice Cleanse. It's very restrictive but at least afterwards, you can identify your problematic foods. |

Wildflower,
Don't you just love the taste of organic milk. It tastes so much better. My favorite is Horizon Organic. We have been drinking this for the past few years and I bet I drink twice as much milk as I used to.

I love how it tastes too!!! I've been trying to not eat dairy... but i'm probably going to crack soon and get some horizon soon. At least it's healthier than ice cream... |

I forgot to add my opinion to the question. I really don't think that milk or dairy, in general, make you more prone to break outs. the exception being those who are lactose intolorant. Every individual person has particular things that will break them out, so it is possible that milk might be a trigger for some, but in general I don't think it should be of concern. |
