Hello
I sometimes feel like I may be the only person on earth with this problem. Not sure what to do. On my nose, I have these black dots on both sides and they're not blackheads. Not sure what they are. They might actually be hair!! How can you grow hair on your nose??? That's too weird. They won't go away..and I scrub and scrub and scrub. Does anyone have this problem..and is there name for this mess..or a cure?? Help. |

It sounds like you have clogged pores on your nose. If you have a Sally Beauty Supply by you, they have a great product-- Beyond Belief Clean Pore Nose Peel. It has lactic and salicylic acids, and tea tree oil. I wrote a review of it on here at some point... |

Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream has done wonders for the appearance of my nose, which was really quite terrible. It's not 100% now (I've been using DHCC for about 3 weeks) but it's greatly improved and I'm very pleased. |

Melasmaisew, you can get hairs on your nose! My husband has a couple. I pluck 'em out! |

biore strips will pull the gunk out of your pores as well as hairs. |

His come out to the surface, so I don't have to prep them with anything. I just have to corner him and hold him still. Maybe the nose strips would work to pull them out - or maybe was strips would work. |

Tosca, I think wax strips work too. At least when i sugar, I can see little plugs stick to it sometimes. but biore strips are stronger i think. |

Melas,
If it is not hair, it sounds like your skin may be lacking hydration.
If you use a lot of drying products, try cutting back... and you may need to add a (or another) moisture component to your regime.
Take care.

Thanks for your replies!! I'm gonna get those strips..I was thinking about it..and I wasn't entirely sure..but I'll definitely give them a try now.
Bosoxy, that might have something to do with it too. I use BP for acne..and I know that stuff takes a toll on my skin but keeps the acne away . Also, I hardly drink enough water..so I might have to start doing that. |

I bought this stuff thinking it would help me with clogged pores on my nose, but all I think it did was peel off some dead skin cells! My nose was smooth to the touch after the treatment, but when I looked at the back of the product I peeled off my nose, it didn't have a single plug attached to it and in looking at my nose again, I saw that yes, all plugs/blackheads were still firmly entrenched in my nose!
Biore strips worked OK the first time I used them - when I looked at the strip, it definitely had plugs attached to it, but they seem to have stopped working after about the 3rd or 4th treatment.
Dang it! I may have to use a blowtorch to melt those plugs out of my nose pores! Any other suggestions? |

Personally, I would not suggest the Biore strips. They do more harm than good. You might as well go to the garage and get some duct tape and use that on your nose. #1 They HURT, #2 They do nothing to treat the problem. Sure they pull blackheads out, but they'll just reform. The clean pore nose peel I suggested is much more gentle and it has products to treat your skin and prevent clogged pores with regular use.
That's just my opinion. |

Hi Melasmaisew!
Oh, yes, that BP can do a toll on the skin!
My son uses the acne serum by Ice Elements, which is very effective and has no BP.
http://www.iceelements.com/index.html?view=products&CatID=2&SubID=35&sid=&cid=&tid=
It is not drying at all and 1 - 2 drops covers the entire face so an oz lasts a super long time. If you decide that you want to try something else, I would encourage you to take a look at this product.
My son had a horrible time trying to find something that would work for him that was easy, effective and non drying.
Whatever you choose to use, good luck!

I second the ice elements serum! it don't have breakout prone skin, but it seems to be helping refine my pores.
Hi Violetanne--i have to disagree with you here . biore strips have helped refine the pores on my nose and chin a lot. I am a bigger user of them as well as those peel off masks and i have to say biores are just stronger, a lot stronger than the peel offs and should be used with caution. |

I like to try Ice Elements but did not see any international shipping info on their website. Do you know if Ice Elements would ship outside the US? Thanks. |

Hi!
What you would want to do is to decide what products that you would like to order and then contact either Shelly or Frankie in their respective forums or by PM and request a shipping quote for your address.
I think that Frankie usually takes care of the shipping, so I would PM him or ask in his forum... I know that they do frequently ship to Canada and I have seen posters on the message board from other countries who have said that IE have shipped to them.
Good luck!
