I am v. troubled at the moment: (a) I have accidently scratched ( in my sleep coz of itchiness) the dead skin of a burn on my face leaving the underlying raw reddish skin exposed (b) a possibility of scarring or at the least pigmentation problem as a result of this - I am of asian tan coloured skin tone.
Can anyone suggest/advice what I can do for (a) to speed up the healing despite the condition - I am already applying antibiotics prescribed by GP and aloe vera cream to cool it down(b) what products are available to heal the pigmentation problem and possible scarring I may get as a result of (a) ?
I'd be grateful if I could get some speedy responses as I am terribly worried and am having a sleepless night over it now. I will most likely visit my family gp tomorrow in any case, but would v. much appreciate the feedback. |

I'm not sure if this product is available in the UK, but in Canada, we have this product called Dermatix. I have used it for about a month for my scar and I'm already seeing results. The company says that it takes anywhere from 3 months to a year for results to take place.
Another product you may want to look into is called Mederma, I haven't tried this though.
Maybe also try applying pure vitamin E onto the wound, that may speed healing and prevent scar formation.
Hope that helps. |
