I am about to go back to Cellex-C again, last time I had High Potency (which I thought was more than 10%) and am thinking of trying the Advanced formula.
Those who have tried both.. how do they compare for texture etc.? I see advanced basically has the B5 gel included, so that would make it good value I think.
Did it last longer before turning color?
is the texture same as normal serum+B5?
Results?
Thanks for the info! |

I'm not sure if this is much help tiger_tim but while I was searching for something else I came across an old review of the Advanced C Serum by Mabsy - http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=8982&highlight=cellexc+fade
And since we're on the topic of Cellex-C serums I'd like to ask whether anyone has tried the Fade Away Gel - it looks very interesting to me as it seems to be good for pigmentation left by acne. |

I have sampled both strengths of the Cellex-C. The textures are about the same, both are very watery (as is skinceuticals). It is more suited to those with normal to oilier skin, as it tends to dry out those with dry skin.
I believe cellex-c turns colors fastest of all the c serums that I have used. That being said, when I first started using c serums, I emailed both skinceuticals and cellex-c to ask about the change in color. Both said that it does not effect the potency and both guaranteed that it maintained the stated strength a year after the bottle is first opened. |

tiger_tim I have only tried a sample of the Advanced C serum and not the High Potency. The Advanced C does NOT contain any B-5 and the amount of hyaluronic acid in the Advanced C is very small. In no way does the Advanced C compare to a hyaluronic serum as far as hydration goes. You would still need to use a hyaluronic acid serum on top if hydration is a concern of yours.
I really liked the Advanced C serum but it is very drying. When I tried it our weather had returned to typical desert dry air and I knew that it wouldn't work for me. I may however give it another try during our rainy season and see how it works then. I have to admit that this serum gave my skin a glow that I have not gotten from the other C serums that I have tried (ISC Proheal, ISC 15% C and Vivier 10%). I don't know if it was the C serum or something else but I really liked the look of my skin when I was using this. I just knew that if I used it for long enough my skin would be super dehydrated.
