I know there are some people from Chicago here - I will be traveling there next week and would like to hear any recommendations on cool places for make-up/skin care shopping. I live in a small town w/ no places like that and I love to browse! I will be mostly in the downtown area...thanks! |

Hmmm...
The Magnificent Mile is always a must when coming to Chicago, but I can't really think of an area to shop for skincare/makeup. There's always Water Tower place with Macys and there's a few dept stores on Michigan Ave. such as Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Saks 5th Ave, Barneys, Neiman Marcus etc.
There may be a few boutiques up north around the Lincoln Park area, but I don't really know of any. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. |

Another Chicago gal here...
As much as I HATE the crowds & jacked up prices, if you wanna be WOWed - Michigan Avenue is the way to go.
Will you be in the city or surbs?
Was thinking Woodfield could be an option too as it has every store & is all indoors. |

Woodfield is great since it does have all the stores and is indoors. Although it's lacking Neimas Marcus, Bloomindales, Saks 5th..and of course a few others. One must do the Michigan Ave though if in Chicago, really is an experience one shouldn't miss. It may be a long walk from store to store on cold days, but all the stores are pretty close together so you can always step in one to warm up before you hit the next store. |

I've still never been to a MAC Pro-store, but there's one on Oak Street with all the designer stores, and my friend says it's "amazing". They have a lot of things that the counters don't. |

Well, I've no suggestion for skincare shopping, but I'd like to suggest the museum! We were there for only a couple hours this summer-- I wished we'd had more time to see everything. Wonderful museum. |

Oh I love Oak St. Love all the little boutiques there. |
