Before joining this forum I thought I knew so much about skin care and now realize how little I do know. Thank you all for the education. I have been using Cellex C for quite a few years and to be honest thought it was the only C serum out there. Now that I know different and am running low on my bottle would like to have recommendations about any of the other c serums. My cellex c is only 10% i think but my skin is very resilient and I could probably use a higher strength. Once again thank you all for sharing your knowledge. I have been introduced to is clinical and the cellcosmet eye cream and im loving them. |

when I asked a similar question a couple of weeks back, i received a lot of recommendations for the skinceuticals products...but I still haven't taken the plunge to try it yet. i am still testing different cleansing options and don't want to add a new active to my routine just yet.
i have also read a lot of recommendations on another board for the C serums made by Professional Solutions and carried by Kathleen at skincarecentral.biz and also at Diana Yvonne. The skincarecentral site said that they were reformulating their product to contain ferrulic acid so I am interested to read feedback from users on it...particularly because these products are a lot more reasonably priced than the Skinceuticals products. |

Have a very naive question -- how does C serum differs from the usual ones? Is it more for radiance or fine lines? many thanks for the help |

Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) serum acts as an anti-oxidant to protect skin from free-radicals produced by UV light (sunlight). Vitamin C is also necessary for collagen synthesis. It can help with both fine lines and with skin "radiance." I don't think it's an either/or kind of thing. HTH |

I use SkinCeuticals C&E. Some people break out with the E but I seem to be okay.
I hear a lot of raves for IS clinical and SkinMedica too.
Before SkinCeuticals I had a sample kit from Somme Institute and before that I've used Mychelle (health food store).
I've also made my own C serum. |
