Lately several people have told me how great that new avon Thermfirm cream is. I don't normally buy any 'real' face care products from them, but I've heard good things. Do you think it is DMAE?
One of the main reasons I don't buy is that they make up their own names for the active ingrediant so i don't know what any clinical trials have shown, etc.
I know this forum doesn't seem too big on Avon, but maybe someone here is a rep or an insider over there? |

It's not DMAE. Fermented yeast and lots of extracts, though. The 'lifting' that happens may be a combination of skin plumping (and rebuilding some collagen) from nutrition and a filler additive that 'tightens' when drying ('cause I don't see how yeast would lift the skin). And of course, there's the caffeine. *shrug*

I don't see any one thing in there that stands out. There sure are a lot of extracts, and the protein may help. |

| I tried it and returned it... they say after three days you can see a difference? I used it for three weeks and saw nuttin'. However I did think the eye lift cream was good, but I don't know what's in it. |

My stepsister just started selling Avon and she gave me a sample of this. I didn't want to use it on my face since I am giving Dr. H products a whirl right now. I hesitate to put any chemical, aside from natural products, on my face right now.
Anyway, I've been using the sample on the back of my hands. Seems great! I still won't buy one for my face but the backs of my hands are so nice right now, if it wasn't so expensive, I'd get it for that! |

well after 2 days, my neck seems to be a bit better. My neck is my big problem area, so crepey I think for my age I have pretty much decided to see a surgeon for it. I'll let you know how it is after a week or so though.
For my hands I use Avon's Foot Works Intensive Callus Cream, you can get it for $2 sometimes. If I am consistent putting it on at night it really makes a difference. |
