I avoid most things that involve doctors, dentists, etc. like the plague, buttttt I'm sure that when it's all over, and you've settled into your new look, whatever discomfort was involved will be nothing but a dim memory.
Good luck and do keep us posted! |

I'm so excited for you. I had a midface done last summer and it was the best thing I ever did for myself. Let me know if you have any questions, etc. Where are you having the surgery if you don't mind me asking. |

The procedure is called a mid-face lift which means the middle of the face or cheek area. The face is broken down into different areas for instance a lower lift is for the neck area and the midface targets the middle of the face or the area from the mouth to the eyes. Basically, it puts your cheeks back where they used to be. But if you have a full face lift in addition to a mid-face lift, then the jowls and neck are also lifted. A midface lift pulls everything up - not out - so you don't have the windblown look. |

Actually, I was 50 when I had my procedure, mostly because I didn't want to look like I had anything done - just wanted to look refreshed and "good for my age" which is exactly what I got. If I had waited several more years, I would look drastically different. More and more women are opting to have these procedures done in their mid to late 40's. |

I have empathy for your anxiety, Avelon.
I am trying to save up for some surgery, and although I'm at least a year away, I'm already nervous!
Just focus on the fact that you are going to see some real results from this -- not just the miniscule improvements that we search for in the mirror after spending thousands on topicals.
You're going to do great!

Thanks everyone I know it’s the right thing and I have been waiting so long to have it done.
I am going towww.aesthetic.com.au He is going to open the cheek area instead of going trough the mouth or eye lid.
Like Penelope I am looking for a subtle look a refreshed look |

Best wishes, Avalon. You'll be absolutely amazed with the results. Make sure you take some closeup before pictures. |
