I got this brush in an MUA swap, and as stupid as this sounds, I don't know how to use it! Here's a pic:

I guess it wasn't too bright of me to swap for an item I wasn't 100% sure how to use ...but I think I was enamored of getting something "Armani" practically for free.
Has anyone ever used this brush, or one like it? I'm thinking that I'd just apply the foundation manually and use the brush to blend, but I'm not sure.
Any help or tips on how to use it are appreciated!

Hi Mary. I have it and probably don't use it right, so I'm interested for any replies. |

I use my foundation brush in a couple of different ways. To blend concealer instead of using full-on foundation, I dot the concealer everywhere I need it then I use the brush to blend by using painterly type brush strokes. I use the end to "stipple" the concealer in areas where I need more coverage.
For true foundation application, I apply some foundation in my hand, then dip the brush end in the foundation and stroke it on. It provides a perfect finish, great coverage where needed and allows me to use the smallest amount of foundation to do the job.
Hope that helped! |

Thanks SO much betterat40...this does help a lot! If you don't mind another question, do you just rinse with water after every time you use it, or do you use a soapy cleaner on the brush?

I like using my foundation brush to put on concealer too, though I just pat it on and then lightly use my finger to press in the foundation.
For concealer and full coverage I actually dot some foundation on the foundation brush and paint downwards in sections. You are not meant to go up because that highlights all the lil hairs on your skin.
You must wash the foundation brush everyday (though...I sometimes wash it every two days). I find that water just doesn't wash the brush clean enough so I use makeup cleanser.

Thanks, Cuppre...the hints are much appreciated! Now I'm happy I swapped for this...seems like a great makeup tool!
