I went to shoppers yesterday for a quick whirl (L'Oreal mascaras are buy 1 get 1 free btw, I got Lash out and Voluminous..I miss these classics!)
and happily discovered they're now selling tweezerman! I grabbed the metal eyelash comb right away and am still hesitating over the ~25 dollar tweezers. I know they're a must, but I have to justify that purchase somehow!
Anyways, yay for the convenience of finding tweezerman just around the corner |

Your SDM must be slow on the draw. Our local store has carried it for years. Those slant-tip tweezers are the best -- they're worth the splurge. |

SDM (Ontario not sure about other provinces) are having the 20x the points event next week on cosmetics, skin care and accessories. I assume the tweezermans would qualify. I am almost at the $150. worth of products (again). This is one points program I do well.
BTW I do have Tweezermans that I bought years ago and still love them. |

I LOVE tweezerman - I have their pointed slant tweezers which are the BEST, way better than normal slanted ones because it gets out the SHORTEST hairs. I LOVE my corner eyelash curler because my corner lashes always curl down and my shu curler never reaches them. And lastly my handy tweezerman extractor is well, just very handy
Different SDMs have different choices of selections but I find my local London Drugs has the most. |

I guess I am very lucky then. I am close to a number of SDM, including 3 beauty boutiques that are now carrying smashbox and Nuxe. |

I was only teasing you, poofy -- don't mind me. Be happy about your find!
How do you like the Tweezerman metal lash comb? I found it did a great job ... but it gave me the willies having such sharp pins so close to my eyeballs. I ended up giving it away. |

OMG I forgot to put this product in my post! This is the BEST, gets rid of all my clumps so I'm not worried about buying mascara that will clump ever again! It also really helps to define your lashes and it's easier to use than you think. I have no needed to ever get it close to my lash line. I point the sharp ends up, swipe lashes once or twice, all done =) The teeth can be removed from the handle for easy cleaning too! Don't be scared of the sharpies, you don't actually point it at your eyeballs, you point it up, actually when you use it it'll seem more natural what you do. You swipe it across like mascara but because it's not shaped like a mascara wand you can't exactly "comb" through your lashes if it's pointing towards your eyeball. |

You're right of course, sormuimui, you don't point the metal teeth directly at your eyeball. And the lash comb does separate and define the lashes very well -- unlike plastic combs, which are useless. Just call me a chicken! |

haha Sutrish, I forgive you! I got the metal lash comb and LOVE IT. But I am wondering how do you clean it between each metal pin? |

Verrrry carefully. I used an old toothbrush, as I recall. Sanitary, eh? |

I put it under the tap and wipe the comb repeatedly with my fingers, then after I'm done I wipe it dry w/a kleenex which gets rid of any leftover residue. This usually takes care of anything between the teeth. If you want to be extra sanitary you can always wipe with an alcohol pad or spray with an alcohol mixture when you finish cleaning. |

I found that wiping down the teeth with Kleenex left tiny bits of paper in them (and had the potential to prick me). I just gave the comb a good brushing, rinsed in very hot water and let dry. |
