Can you use a night cream that is Vit C and other agents every night or just as a renewal cream? Contains no acids or retinol the pkg says every to every other night but the sales agent says use one month straight every 3 months confused  |

Well it will depend on Formulation, other ingrediants, Vit C percentage,and pH, and your skin sensitivity.
But generally speaking you can use a Vit C product nightly, assuming your skin tolerates it. Vit C is acidic, and can be iritating, but generally it is 10% or less in most OTC products. (often closer to 1 - 5%)
Skin does often benifit from a rest phase, especially when useing higher percentage acids. (30% and up) But it is unlikely this product would qualify in that range.
A typicial rest is 5 days on - 2 days off. And/or 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off.
Depending on your skin needs.
But a month on, 3 months off, is very odd - and would undo much of what you just did in the prevous month I think.
You may want to call, and ask "why" that program. But that does seem odd.
The every other day makes sense, because Vit C can irritate some, and depending on other activities in the formula - that may increase sensitivity. So skipping a day can help on that. Especially at first.
But once you have used it for 2-4 weeks or so with no issues, you should be able to bump up to nightly use. (again depending on other ingrediants, Percentage, etc) |
