I was just wondering if emu oil was supposed to have little flecks of white stuff in it.
I have never noticed it before, but got a new shipment from dianayvonne yesterday and it looked different than the rest. Its just clear emu oil with vit.e for freshness, but it looks like half the bird is in there with it. Okay, that was an exageration, but there ARE little white things floating. Is that normal? |

HAHAHAHA! I think it should be OK. I checked mine and it does have white flecks in it - I got my from LB Processors and it doesn't smell bad or anything (in fact, I don't notice any smell at all) and its their most refined emu oil. I've had no problem at all with mine.
Did you not see flecks in your other oil? Is this the first time? Who is the manufacturer of yours? Maybe you should e-mail the manufacturer and ask them if bird flecks are normal or not? |

I've never seen "flecks" in emu oil. They are floating on top? That sounds strange, as you would think anything that floats would be removed in processing/filtering?? |

Weird really. Today when I went to put in on they were gone. Maybe they dissolve after time? Maybe it means its fresh. I'm just glad they're gone. It didn't look right. |

Apple, in my product, they are mixed throughout the oil, not floating. You have to look pretty closely to see them, but they are there. As far as I can tell, they are perfectly normal, don't show on the skin or flake off of it - they just melt right in, so no harm no fowl (sorry, couldn't resist! ) |
